Re: General Questions
Question to staff currently on site: how is the mosquito situation? I am asking because there has been Bergets where mosquitoes tried to seriously overwhelm me, and ones which should have been similar weather-wise but no critters in sight. Perhaps something to do with insect sprays that I hear are u...

Re: Radios
Miksu, how long is the approximate range in dense (wet) woodland? How about if you are lying down i.e. no line of sight to teammates, or acting as forward guard away from your team? I'm just curious because even ordinary PMR transmissions get damped down if the radio is surrounded by sweaty operator...

Re: Berget 13 video thread
Orange is the signal for off-game, not the lack of presence of arm-band. Never assume that other players consider you off-game just because you do not have arm-band. One rarely distinguished darkish blue arm-bands anyway when it was dark enough. +1 for Dolnage and vinni. Defending your base in your ...

Re: Drone footage of game area.
Great videos, I spotted them in Youtube already a couple of days ago. Was this the drone that we saw flying in Ikaros base during ... Friday I think? We saw it taking off a couple of times at the base area farthest from HQ and kiosk buildings. If so, do you have any combat footage? I think there was...

Re: Base Assault on GCT
^This was from the south; part of 1st Coy advanced towards the base on the east side of the road/border (parts might have tried to flank the base around east). As Snowman says, we never got anywhere in east/south because precision-guided artillery started right after we left the staging area, long b...

Re: Detailed Demeter review
Wow, I had no idea that there was so much going on with Demeter...I did spot Demeter guys with the scanning device while I was respawning in Krasnovo, though. Second, one of Minerva units found old cargo plane crash site in which we found old aerial image with some locations marked (possibly Pathoge...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
how to handle this Point, if enemy is all around, but you are still allowed to respawn... 8 enemies waiting with full-auto from all sides until respawntime cant be the solution. I heard about similar incident or perhaps this very one and recall that rules for previous Bergets specifically stated th...

Re: The CP points
^agree with Panzergraf. Close distance to respawn is appropriate for the Saturday all-out fight that we had also this year, and it gives ppl a chance to let steam out. For the other days, close respawns make fights into weekend skirmishes that go endlessly back and forth around tactical points as bo...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
I played in Ikaros Minerva Infantry, as part of Finnish bare-bones grunt platoon mostly composed of players from Northern Finland. As such I have very little visibility to game balance things, or even to the big plot of the game. Game experience for me was mostly a series of challenging skirmishes. ...

Re: UV-5R Antennas
Stick with stock, or even get a worse antenna if unit comms is strictly what you want. By day two you are sick of radio chatter and less sensitive radio starts to be an asset. I actually got a crappy stub antenna for my Wouxun as stock one (pretty much like the one linked above) was bit clumsy and g...

Re: Radio controlled turret
Any news regarding this as im also interested? I agree with you, a manned gun would be more efficient and since you're still allowed to build 360 degree plated towers the problem of last year is still there. Even if its not fully protected a gunner can still duck and continue to fire... You really ...

Re: Game area?
What guys said. Long walks to base do nothing to enhance the game, they just waste time and tire people out. We walked a lot and I think that a large majority of kilometers came simply from slogging the road between civ village and Raven base. Not exactly fun.
