Without getting into the whole debate over what LARP and MILSIM is I just want to add another thing i feel is needed to deepen the LARP experience (and also possibly the MILSIM side of things): Vital characters that are killed stay dead. Rules that leaders must be "knifekilled" after shot do actuall...

I hope for next years Berget Events will give in-game "intel" instead of "orders" to the commanders, and they may choose to act on it as they choose. And make sure that nothing is 100%, just like in real life. Instead of giving orders they should use languange like "We have intelligence reporting of...

Agreed, that was a solution to an unfortunate problem although i realize why it was made, it was still a shame it had to be done.

Why T-shirts? Free marketing inside Härnösand possibly, but I see no other reason why. If you want to offer the players something, make it something remotely useful like a patch (company/team/event whatever), armband or deadrag. T-shirts in Large?! I got plenty of tees, and even if I didn't I wouldn...

I don't mind the area, but Åstön would have been great, and it is unfortunate that the landowner bailed ship.

Best Berget area so far has been Hemsön though. To bad we havent had access to the large fortress of Hemön though ;)

Talisman, let's see if I understand things correctly. You a) assaulted Bashir City and the Police because of a rumour that a NATO-guy was being incarserated inside the police station, not allowing the NATO MPs to do it's job, not allowing Bashir City to uphold the laws within the city (like arrestin...

First of all, as many people said, most civilians were in fact MERCs or SRPs in disguise, or had a shady background, and we knew it. You fired upon non-hostile civilians, and also forgot the simple fact that some inside Bashir City just as well could have been friendly to NATO (at least before all ...

The whole point with being an armed civilian is that you are indistinguishable from non-hostiles, thus being able to hide in plain sight. If "real" unarmed civilians have different armbands from the "fake" or "armed" civilians you would loose that part of the game, which gives more intrigue, tension...

Hopefully we can get more civilian LARPers to get the place really alive next year, but then it -has- to be a cease-fire zone in order not to hurt anyone. I would sort of agree; an in-game enforced cease-fire zone is good. Neutral ground. But the risk of getting into a firefight (with local thugs, ...

I spent and lost B$275, mainly to throw the Casino some business and to improve commerce in the Bashir area. My last $25 chip was donated to the minister of the church.

No, it wasnt enforced LARP as I understand. That is something that I am hoping for in the future. since it would have added to the atmosphere a whole lot.

I really liked Bashir City, it had good LARPers and a good addition to the game which gave the game another dimension. I have to agree with D-Cycle and Kane in many of the things they've said. What I would like to see for next year: More civilian roles. If need be; outsource the task of creating a m...
