I got a giggle last year at B8 beerparty in Sollefteå. Some otherwise civilan dressed Norwegian players were having a lively discussion about airsoft tactics around some beers. Much to my amazement a couple of dudes still had their Bowman headset on their head - while all other clothing was highly c...

The best functioning and best staffed HQ in my airsoft time was at B7 with Kris as CO. We actually were able to create a good HQ atmosphere with 5 radio operators on a shift rotation, with Thinker as Chief of Staff. Trouble then was also that Berget crew forgot to refuel the repeater generator, so S...

The "how" must come from the more mature and experienced airsoft players through game-, info-flow, situational awareness (SA) and unit size understanding. I'm therefore appealing to that kind of experienced airsoft players ( preferrably with some military or organisational background ) to step up an...

Freebies not realizing the true costs of attending this game don't have the motivation needed anyway to attend. Main thing is they need to be focused, motivated for HQ duty and make the best out of it. What we as players need is to see the bigger picture and volunteer for HQ duties - if not for anyt...

what's the problem with several Berget Crew in HQ, who will make little debriefing (get info, print it, put it on info desk), so BN commander don't worry about this at all? Do it several times a day. Not hard work, imho. What was the mission, for what it was, how it was providing and what was the r...

Greetings, Freno. And thanks for last year and my personal favourite Berget! The key success factors at B8 were mainly that we were able to compensate for the crappy, non-refuelled or failing Berget-repeaters by means of cell phones and good info-flow in all directions. And most importantly - you Pe...

Berget-events are looking into having "hired" HQ-staff to take the workload off the BAT commanders in future ganes. More info will follow on that.
Now we're talking. Highly welcomed approach that may serve Berget well in future games.

Gentlemen trustees and Berget-Events AB, this game is now getting so big in unit size, radio traffic and information masses that there must be some kind of organized information management in place. If the ingame trustees and BE cannot agree about this - grab your radios and sketch out a new plan ta...

Well said on the MILSIM, Spin_T. MILSIM units should also have their own, separate camp like at B8 - so their roleplay gets better as a unit. Concerning the threadstarter initiative. Let's brainstorm the ingame Brigade/Regiment HQ idea a bit more. OK, if no static HQ staff - let a minimum of 3-5 sta...

Agreed. Videos showing LARP executions and prisoner harassment are bad image for us. Not good at all - although all aisofters know it's just roleplay.
Trouble is the outside world might regard us as whackos when seeing that stuff.

second the idea of all C&C roles is free of charge, As long as they are HQ based . I believe that greater forces need to have a static HQ with designated officers to manage their tasks. Staff: REG CO REG NCO J2 - INTEL J3 - Plan,OPS J5 - Communications These roles are in my mind the most critical t...

I'd like to thank both of you and your patrol members from us at HQ for excellent conduct and outstanding airsoft duty this year. Your vital intel and recon reports were highly appreciated and made the game for our field units. We could hear your reports on Channel 3 and quite frankly I was impresse...

There are ups and downs, but mostly ups - and nothing ever comes close to Berget in big games - despite its many flaws and outsize operations. :D @Pavel_Moscow - we better read these threads again and be better prepared next time. I was bored out of my skin this year, but that only means better prep...

Just some afterthoughts for Berget-Events to chew on: 320th Artillery would most likely have been better served being a mobile mortar unit with, say 4 mortars that could have been deployed at more flexible points near our own infantry units as they moved along in the game and needed fire missions. W...
