My best moment must have been when we in NATO played "prison rule rubgy" Everyone took it serious but still not enough to cause any injuries. It was perfect, fun, rough and sweaty but still no risk for injuries.

Second best moment must have been when the tank attacked the NATO base. Such a rush of adrenaline. One tank vs NATO, first we all got scared. But then, from nowhere, Kelly's Heroes came (a.k.a the french) and charged the tank and suddenly, the tank was overrun.

My best memory was when i got lost.

My team was attacked by the reds south of the city when we was moving to take the bunker. Two of us was shot, and bled out. (leaving the team without a stg. and a cpl.)
We walked to Mike Hotel and respawned. Unable to get hold of anyone from nato on the radio we decided to move to the possision the company was going to (as we where told in the briefing)... The bunker. 1hr latter, when we got about 100m from it we saw tango's and jumped into the bushes. it was a split second decision witch seperated us. The enemy moved up the road towards us, then started to move into the bushes. One of them moved towards me, i followed him with my sights for a good two minutes. When he was close enugh i eliminated him. Of course he was not dumb enough to go after us alone, and the whole team started shooting and screaming. I realized i was pretty fucked where i was, since i was outnubered by at least a team. I ran over the road and towards himmelberget. Just a couple of meters into the forest i was waved at by some other playes. I thought it was nato at first, but when i sat down by them i realised that they had red armbands. instinctively i shot them both and started running trough the woods towards himmelsberget and climbed the norh-east side while i heard a lot of yelling behind me. I go to the top, and moved down to the road 3-400m from the city.
i stoped a NATO buggy, witch told me that my company went to the city, and never proceeded to the bunker.
I walked fast to the city only to recive the greeting "You're late"
HAHA, priceless
(my friend who was with me turned up an hour later, alive)

Not to underestimate the french in any way, but the tank was dead allready, becouse Kris, the Bn CO killed it with a AT-4 ;)
But the moment was one of my favorits at berget also, not often you see a Bn CO and his commandstaff hunting a tank ;)
Also enjoyed the beerparty a lot, at least after the cops left ;)

When I and another NATO soldier was taken prisoners by the SRP during an attack on their base, then we got looted and shot in the back :P

I also liked the "Hamburger Hill" part a lot. Bravo Company was leading that push and from the first car suddenly the theme from Black Hawk Down appeared on the speakers, that was epic and pure slaughter. :)

Not to mention the attack on the ORC base during friday night. It was really awesome. We were almost inside the camp, but had to withdraw to make it to the transport in time otherwise it would have been completely overrunned :(

And I was laughing like crazy when I heard that Kris himself had just runned out from the NATO command himself to take out a tank and succeeded :D

wall of text....

My best moment were when my milo squad "infiltrated" BC to get a cell phone to Haffa. One group were to enter through the main gate and get their guns confiscated and one group would enter from a different direction in order to have a better chance to smuggle in weapons.

The plan went very good. The group with weapons met a single police officer who didn't notice us. The other group got the cell in and some weapons that the NATO officers couldn't find when searching them. (NATO needs to improve their technique searching people!)

Some player then remembered we had "free hands" now to kill/kidnap whoever we wanted. (Mission granted from Ober-Lix.) We decided the priest would give us what we wanted - we escorted him out of town and when we came to the roadblock the guy ducked down and shouted 'hidden gun' - those with weapons concealed opened fire to pick as many NATO forces as we could, but were gunned down. Doh...

In good spirit of the Geneva convention, NATO healed our wounds and made the police put us to prison - but they had to search us first - to find what they missed the first time. The first searcher was successful, he searched and found a gun - yelled 'gun' and we were "secured" by 10 armed guards in a circle pointing their weapons at us. They 'found' my gun - was loaded but never fired they concluded. The last member of our squad that was caught (two members got away when we lost the hostage) had a gun, in his backpack - it was searched, but the gun was never found.

We was put in prison, the priest came in and pointed out who was responsible for the action - those were taken out to be executed.

My squad leader called me to 'cuddle' with him, he was lonely he said. :P
He wanted be to be in i the way of the prison guard's sight when he made his gun ready, he then order us to sing famous Swedish drinking song "helan går" and when the singing stopped he shot the guard. I believe the guard was so surprised he needed to be shot again to take the hit. :P

Another guard in the door disappeared out of sight and called for help, a merciless volley of automatic fire came through the door seconds later - hitting me in the head and killing me - I fell down in good LARP manner making my squad leader vulnerable for the firing.
I could go spawn with a good mood and job well done.

My best experiences were:

When a group from NATO attacked BC with no script or command on late Friday.
It was a epic battle. Thats almost the only time I shot trough the entire game.

Just before the total maddness that was unleached on BC, I respawned just north of BC. There I met up with India 5. We joined up the get a strike team, and we attacked and blew up a car just a little outside Bashir.
With both hostile civilians in the city, combined with ORC and SRP spread all around, it was hell to get past Bashir.
I did though get to report the situation in Bashir and the surroundings.

Dont get me wrong here.
I manage good with recon and OP missions with no contact, just observations. Though, I do not cope with sitting on my ass on the same spot doing nothing for 6 hours (We had such a mission). I dont want to pay 1000 Euros for that!

My most ridiculous moment:
On saturday: me and a squad of about 15 Mercs decided to take a vacation (from all our Merc duties) and head for Bashir to spend some money and check out the city (some of us hadn't even been there yet).
So we put our guns on our backs and head down the road. After a while we encounter a group of Natos approaching from a side road. We all put our hands in the air and scream that we're non hostile/on vacation/on our way to the city etc. The Nato soldiers speaks hurriedly at each other, waving their arms as they do it and we realize that they're Italian. My mind goes ">.<"
After some nasty looks and more arguing they tell us to remove our magazines and empty the barrels of our guns. We do as they say and our squad leader declare all our weapons as "confiscated." We are still not allowed to leave and after a minute or two the f*cking Italian Nato ass wipes knife kills our whole team!
So much for rules of engagement/peace keeping duties etc..

Ps: Nato has wallhack..

I think my best decision this year was to say "sod you all" to all factions and play my own thing with the team. Anyway, as far as moments go;

Friday, mid-day. My team take on a task for Kris to find and bust "The Organisation", or atleast grind the drugdealing in Bashir to a temporary halt. In doing this, we let a NATO officer tag along on the truck, to act as a "supervisor" for the job. When we started driving up the road to Bashir City, we envounter a SUV. Not thinking more of it than wanting it to get out of the way (scanning the radio let us know there was fighting in and near the city), we were mighty suprised when they halted us and began to ask the driver for help. Since I was acting chalk leader at the time, I jumped up from my position on the flatbed and asked what the ruckus was about. In doing so, the Mayor leaned in from the backseat in the SUV, shouting something along the lines of "You must help me save my pregnant daughter, she's still inside the city!".

By now, I think its safe and needed to fill in that we were playing with blue armbands at this time, as we were on a semiofficial errand for NATO. We were really playing civilians, but dropped our roles once in a while, geared up and started shooting things, causing mayhem all around. But back to the story.

Seeing how this would help the NATO reputation, we immediately said yes and told them to turn around and get in behind us. When all was set, we started moving slowly with everyone on the truck still in high readiness, safety off and all that. The moment we arrived at the city limits, we noticed there was a major risk of us having to fight our way inside, so we dismounted everyone but the guys manning the MG's and formed up behind the truck. The truck started rolling, dust filling the air around us and screams everywhere. I shouted to the guys to take position and cover the SUV, while I grabbed a couple MP's nearby and started searching the village for the Mayor's daughter. After a quick run, we found her inside the bar, so we formed up in a protective formation, placed her inbetween us and rushed down to the cars. The second we reached the cars, we threw her inside and banged the window, telling them to get the hell out of there.

And thats the last I heard of them, really.

This is but one of all the awesome moments, one which later led to another epic thing. But this one really stuck with me, because of how real it all felt, just like I've trained to perform in these situations with the military. Awedome game, BE.

You called that Hamburger Hill too?

My best moment is definitely that battle on Thursday, when we took Hamburger Hill from NATO and held it for few hours, before we were overrun.

We approached the Hill from South, from the forests, as usual, along the powerline. There were 2+ platoons involved in this action, Fox, Hammer and parts of Dog Company. Our Fox was attacking on the left flank, right next to the powerline. We got into contact with the enemy at the lower hillside in the south, and tried to move forward, but it was very hard, because of the terrain. We ordered 2 arty strikes, and manage to get a grip on the southside of the hillarea. At the meantime, Hammer and Dog were wheeling in from the right. After we got hold of the south, Hammer and Dog hit the area from East. We managed to clear the hillarea off the enemy in about 10mins, after the strike. We encountered a few enemy snipers who killed some of our guys. They were hiding in small holes and ditches on the hill. Kudos to you guys, great work!!! And sorry if we holed you with BBs, it was sometimes hard to hear the "HIT!" when everyone's shooting :( It was nothing personal.

We took positions and held the hill for maybe an hour in total peace. Dog company advanced further to BC and left us Hammer and Fox with one of their squad. Hammer held the area from MH to the Hill, the Dog squad was positioned to hold the respawn and our platoon held the rest of the hill. Then came the Italians.... oh boy.

We lost the hill about half an hour later, overwhelmed with opposition. 3 players managed to get to our secret respawn alive and well, 2-3 were wounded and the rest were dead. We basically held it to the last man/woman.

Another not-so-funny incident happened in BC on Friday, when we were in the City on a mission.

NATO attacked, with huge confusion, spray-killing everything that moved. Regardless of armbands, death-rags or anything. They even shot civilians, surrendering and coming out of church! Coupled with their non-existent English skills, this was a total nightmare. And it was not the first or the last time we had sorry thoughts about the Italians. I know there were good players on the Italian team, we fought with them on Saturday, and they really were great guys. But what was this trigger-happy, skirmishing, nonsense mob of weekend players? I think this was not your game to be in, please do not come again to ruin it for everyone else.

The first bank robbery in game. My profit was some 30k - 40k cash and 3 Gold ingots in amount 450k dolars. (one of them I lost because some policeman catch me during robbery and must get share) What I know it was bigiest money and gold deposit in one moment in the bank at whole game. If not than is no problem because we did bigiest bank robbery in BC at B7. Reason was really easy. We didn`t get any serious sallary from Orlov or Lynx so we was totaly desperate. So we did bank job. Yeah we was lucky because lot of thing play for us. Inefective guarding by police at the moment, same by NATO soldiers - they take care mainly just about checking peoples at main gate (and did it very well) not about events inside of BC, tank atack which takes lot of care of peoples inside BC, covering atack from my team mates takes care also, used smoke grenades gives me cover to and big amount of money in bank at the moment
Basically I did bank without gun (was confiscated by italian gate watch at enter to BC) and very gently. As the real gentlemans. And separate chapter was escape from BC. I played that I was breading lot off smoke from smoke grenades and some of italian guys at gate give me water and helped me walk. I told them I will never more visit this bloody dirty city full of war dogs and smoke :P
Off course there was more moments during whole game but this one was my best LARP and also battle part of game. My 5 minutes of glory.

We played as standard mercs integrated to 2nd coy 2nd platoon (hotel 2-2) and bank job was our own plan how to get some money. Nothing to do with anybody around. Exactly like desperate mercs without money can do this:)
(whole planed procedure and used materials was approved by BE crew, rest of things was just lucky)
