We decided to keep it as a private party on the gamearea this year. What did you think about it?

Excellent idea!

This year there were more people probably because of that. And also, it felt a bit more cozy ;)

And the Music ROCKED!

It was acctually "Take me down to the Bashir City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty", but hey, "guns are pretty" works as well. ;

I thought it was a lot nicer to have the beerparty up in Bashir than down in Härnösand like last year. And I agree with Cogo - it was much cosier. :)

The party was on a great spot, a central area of the entire event where players have interacted before and then, without hatred so psychologically the location was great. Was a bit remote, just enough to keep players on spot.
Timing close to perfect. After end, players need at least two hours to pack their sh1t and get ready.
Police band was OK, the music was good and not too much or too loud (for others to talk), prices were good and burgers were good aswel (according to my lawyer, I did not eat as I had just finished off my MRE at the church when the nuke blast vaporised my arse haha).

You have managed to keep it simple, the mission was easy to identfy: players talking to each other with as little distraction as possible...

I think it was a great idea.

And I think it was a great party.

The band were great, but the best part was the Nato India company celebrations.

The party and the band were great, thanks a lot for them! If someone has pictures of me posing with some players at the party, I would be glad if I could see those pics. I know someone has, because I was asked to the picture over ten times. Thanks also for the beer I got from many players.

Musikpolisen rocks as always!!!

More chairs/tables/logs would have been a good add-on. Other than that it was all good, much better than last time.

The beer party was simply a total success.
Musikpolisen did their stuff splendidly. Man, those buggers can play!

The off-game facilities being the conflict-point Bashir made lots of ingame war-stories easy to tell - for those who were there ingame.
The atmosphere was a perfect balance of social intimacy and off-game unwinding.

Excellent. Repeat next year, please. :D

BE, music was top drawer, these guys got everyone in the spirit.

The freebees were a nice touch thrown from the roof also. Cheers.

Band location was good as it allows some to have some quiet space also.

The burgers and beer was great although I'd just bought a $4 burger when you announced the price cut! :x

Transport to and from the event was good and I felt keeping it a Berget Only party was a good call.

Yeah I have found those threads and pics, but in beer party some players said that they will not put their photos to the forum because they took only a few photos during the game. That's why I asked them to contact me in my previous message.

I'm sorry we Finnish players had to leave, in my opinion, too early (we left the party at 22:30pm) 'cos it would had been nice to celebrate a few hours longer. Well, the party was still entertaining and I met a lot of great people there. Special thanks to that dancing guy with the "For Sale" -signboard. :D

I think it worked well to have it at the game site. It's close and I guess it helps you to be able to serve beer at a affordable price (I don't drink so I shouldn't mind, but I still like to see reasonable prices at stuff).

So:
+ No sitting places. It "forces" people to mingle and you end up meeting other people instead of sitting by a table with your regular mates. Also makes people rock with the band, it was great fun =)

+ Smaller area, this also makes people mingle more then an large area does. Mingle is good in my opinion.

+ Musikpolisen. They really livened up the place, you must invite them next year as well.

+ Transport from the party area to the parking/härnösand. Perhaps expand to go to the bases if you didn't already do this?

Stuff that can make it better:
Provide with grills/fires so that people get a chance to BBQ their own stuff or perhaps offer a more varied BBQ that you have to pre-order.
