Echo1 M240 Bravo (FN MAG)
I thought I would share this here too. I picked up the Echo 1 M240B, which is the US military version of the FN MAG 7.62mm GPMG. It is made mostly from machined aluminum and weighs almost 8 kilograms! I have not had a chance to chrono it yet but will be able to do that later today.
Box:
Contents:
Also in the box, large 9.6v battery (unknown MAh), cheap wall charger, stock, and box magazine:
MOSFET!
Detail of stock mount on frame:
Flash hider is glued on plastic, around the metal one (not painted):
Quick change barrel latch behind RIS rail at base of receiver:
Stock slides in and latches at the bottom, Safety is behind handgrip at near the stock:
Magazine is held in place with a screw and the feeding tray:
Box mag mount (wires are a sound unit for winding):
Quick change spring and M249 style hopup (green ring)
Note that feed tray cover is machined, but the silver feed chute is cast and doesn't feel super sturdy
Stock latch:
Trap door in bottom and charging handle (spring loaded, but doesn't do anything to the gun):
Bipod latch
Feed chute
Magazine box - note that the actual magazine is CARDBOARD!

Wow, you registered on the forum just to say this? You haven't even physically held the gun. Aluminum is used in many high stress applications, like combat aircraft. The Echo1 M240B is a high quality replica and so far has performed flawlessly.lukie116 wrote:What a shame i wanted a steel gun not a crummy aluminum gun why would they make it out of aluminum and sell it for 750$
I don´t think it is very nice to keep hitting on the pure guy.
He has got himself a very nice gun and it has nothing to do with how often he has held an airsoft gun in his hands.
Just cool it guys, not every one can buy himself an airsoft gun for a price of a Ferrari.

Yeah it looks really great. unfortunately the mag is made of cardboard...thats a huge downer for me. I wonder why they used such a weak material....
But despite that: I WANT IT!!!
