ASG LiIon batteries

Post by Saveli_M » 06 Jul 2011, 21:20

Just before Berget9, I did bought an ASG Li-Ion stick type battery for my AK.
I got it just same day we left to berget.

Ok, now hear this:

First time I opened a package, and put it into my gun, I did not get anykind of action from the battery. I did complain this to ASG people at safe-zone, but they just told me to try to load the battery.
First thing I did notest, that the Black wire (on balancer connection) was on middle pin, and red on the other end.
I did tell this to ASG guys also at SZ, still answer was same, try to load it, and if it doesn't work, return next day to SZ if something could be done.

Ok, then I proceed to my camp and got a loader suitable for Li-Po and Li-Ion battery and tryed to load it: IT DID NOT RECIEVE ANY CURRENT because an error occured. My friend also did check cell voltages and said immediately that there was something really twisted on voltages.

NEXT DAY: I returned to safe zone at daytime: VOILA! No ASG TENT anymore.
A fucking nice way to handle customers you got there!

If somebody has a ASG battery similiar to this: 7.4V 1300mAh 15C Li-Ion, please check your balancer connection, and tell me if mine is wrong (I am pretty sure that is the problem).
Mine is:
right - RED
center - BLACK
left - YELLOW

Anyway as instructed, I tryed to load battery at home, and now I have 1 malfunctioning ASG battery, AND BROKEN Li-Ion/Li-Po CHARGER!
So thank you so much for your good advices with your products, and your superb customer service!

I was standing in Berget Shop when someone brought in a battery like that to show Devid ( the technician working there ) and he went all "wtf?" when he saw the wires. He was in the opinion that the red and black wire should've been switched around. Dunno if this is the fact though, just thought I'd point it out

It should be:
Right: RED
Middle: Yellow
Left: Black

Or from right to left: Red,Blue,Yellow,Black
If its Red,Blue,Black,Yellow = it will fried up charger and AEG

I saw those battery's on the ASG shop page, and was thinking that im color blind...but look...they mixed up the battery.

Sorry for you mate.

Thanks Jin.

The only problem is that ASG guys still instructed me to charge up the battery, and I did mention about wires being weird, and about cell voltages being really twisted.

...And thanks to this, I have ALSO that broken loader now :x

Now what I really wonder is, why they did not just give me a new battery in exchange for the broken.
Why did they instuct me to load it?
Why did they told me to come back next day if there was no booth anymore!!!?

If this is how they treat customers, I ain't gonna be one anymore.

So why are you posting about these on the forums instead of getting in touch with them?

It´s a good info for others to not buy these batteries, or check cables before loading!
Thanks!

We were as surprised as you where when we saw the cables and we didnt have any extra batteries at the time or a clue what was wrong with it.

Our stand was empty because we went out to visit all the camps by foot and taking pictures and talking to all the players, link below are some great photos we took.
