I'm trying to look at this from a few different angles;

- Previous Berget games have had a NATO/NON-NATO split; I've seen myself during these games plenty of people making accusations that the other side is wearing incorrect patterns, and we all know that getting a game master to pay attention to that can be difficult. So this years split worked well in that respect I guess, If you decided to break the rule you would stand out easily and not be simple for a game master to miss.

- Observability; Well, I think it most cases it made little difference, I would say that the desert DPM seemed to stand out a bit, however in most cases I saw no impact;

- I (and my platoon) was at least twice successfully ambushed by NAF forces, the pattern they used had zero impact when they used good tactics.
- In another instance we patrolled down the west road and we were easily held off in some cases by players we were unable to observe easily.
- I was twice around blackwolfs base, and NAF forces were able to perform flanking maneuvers without their pattern being an issue.

Personally I wore ACU to B5,6 and 7, and at least in 5 & 6 where I was actually in the field, I don't feel it made me more or less observable then other patterns I own.

So I like the pattern split, I would also enjoy a split that said "DPM one side, woodland on the other" but I suspect that would raise even more opinions about lack of choice then the split tried this year.

Summary; In general, I think the experiment worked, however I think some members of NAF could have made a better choice on which desert uniform they chose.

I see your post is as childish as mine then, saying thet we "got" to play in
woodland. we didnt get to play in it, we choose. and using the argument that it wouldnt have been a game if all choose woodland is very thin. im glad for sure that people choosed to play on NAF side, but i dont see how one can complain that it was unfair to split camos like that if one willingly have chosen to play on the light side and payed money to do so, then he/she have made their choice.
I don't see it as childish to be honest, it looks like I've hit a nerve and you're just trying to insult me because of it... Anyway I will rephrase if it caused you some misunderstanding... If everyone "chose" to play on the same team (due to camo restrictions and everyone wanting to play in woodland camo) there would be no enemy... Then you would have no one to shoot at and it would be the end of Berget, please use your "brain" before posting...

I don't see your point, about 650-700 bought a ticket for the NAF fraction. Nobody forced those people to do so. Everybody how bought a ticket for a NAF fraction knew on forehand that he or she needed to wear a dessert camo uniform. If you paid attention during the ticket sale in the first 4 hours 1200 tickets where sold. As said before wearing a green or brown vest and other green, brown or black kit would increase you camouflage. Due to the big variation of camo patterns and kit used by all the player it was still difficult to identify who was enemy and who was friend.

I'm sorry but you've just repeated what others have already posted... If you do not see my point having explained my self twice already then please don't attack me... Besides you are still missing my other point which was, I wasn't allowed to play in Multicam all because I wanted to play with my teammates who were all in woodland camo... The camo restrictions forced me to make the choice of either wearing a camo I didn't want to wear or playing by myself without all my friends... Do you see that point? If not then I seriously suggest you go away and think about it before 'trying' to make me look like an idiot with another pointless post...

What kind of airsofter only has one kit?

I would just like to add that I myself also didn't notice any major advantages of wearing green over brown. Got shot pretty good twice without seeing where it came from.

An airsofter that doesn't often play outdoors and therefore doesn't have much other than one kit for outdoors and an all black uniform for CQB. Also an airsofter that has grown considerably round the waist so the outdoor uniforms he used to have no longer fit lol.
