They'll still be fine for in-squad comms...

About transporting PMR446 radios to Sweden:

"...Licence exemption for equipment according to the relevant standards according to the requirements of the R&TTE directive

Another similar use on 6 channels above 444 MHz on 25 kHz channel spacing is already licence exempt. ..."

(This text was copied from other place, so excuse my "ignorance" about radio protocols and licences)

It's free of licence in Sweden, right?

PMR446 is license free in all of europe, but there is a set of rules that points out how the radio must be build. the 2 mayor problems is:

1: pmr446 may only transmit with an output power of 0.5w, where we would like to use 4w at least.
2: pmr446 radio'es must have a build in (non removeable) antenna, where the radioes we use have chanceable antennas.

and this brings me back to my former question... does the game host's have a license to beyond these rules (laws actually), or is the plan to simply just break them? (the rules are often broken and chances of anyone minding it as long as we're on the island is pretty small...)

Hello. The Norwegian Airsoft assosiation has started using Zodiac radios. This is a 5w, 2,5w and 1w output radio that work in the 68mhz VHF band. As the norwegian players have a lot of radios of this type we will try to get permisson to use them during the game, as inforce coms for the Norwegians that are playing for NATO. Will this be ok? If we do all the paperwork for this ourselfs?
