According to the specs on the page, Yes, those radios will work on the main frequency band of the forces, the 69 channel LPD. And it will work on SRBR band (6 channels), but NOT PMR (8 channels intended for platoons) since it doesnt have 6.25kHz spacing as an option. It will most likely work with the repeaters since it has 400-470Mhz range (required is 422-444MHz) and CTCSS subtones, CTCSS will most likey be used on PMR too.

It does have a small battery though, only 6V 650mAh, so dont expect long usage time. You will most likely have to recharge it a few times.

I dont know anything about the features, menu system och usage, so it might be a bit of twiddling to use it.

Dont forget to buy a headset och an earpiece that fit. Its very annoying to use a radio without one.

here in italy we mainly use the MIDLAND G7/8 with power modification, good use up to 12km on open ground, down to about 4/5km in the woods.

Power modification on G7 increase up to 3,5W and if combined with hi-gain antenna is possible reach up long distance.
But this calulations are very uncertain. A good link depends on the conformation of the land, from interference and so on.
The right thing is build up a pair of radio bridge around headquarter, north and south for example, but these objectives would become sensitive to be protected...

As has been written, the problem arises with the different steps of spacing between the LPD and PMR.
Many UHF radio have spacing compatible with LPD frequencies (each 25KHz) but not PMR (each 12,5KHz).
So check your radio to know kinds of spacing available. If you have also 12,5KHz you have a full compatible radio for both LPD and PMR radios.

Wouxun KG-689 have steps (5K/6.25K/10K/12.5K/25K), and Wide/narrow bandwidth (12.5KHz/25KHz) , and 400-470MHz means that it will work at PMR, LPD, SRBR bands in sweden.

Good radio, very good sensitive reciever, but I dont like the menu system and manual programming on it.

Kenwood TH-K4E, variable steps, wide/narrow, 400-470MHz at 0.5, 2 or 5W. Highly recommended.

Wouxun use 2 pin Kenwood connector, so does many more Chinese radios manufacturers like Puxing, Weierwei, Linton and more.

If you want a good monophone, I recommend this. Use a modified version my self (for dual radios).

KMC17 monophone. Quite nice and cheaper.

I would recommend buying from 409shop, hard to find on the net but great service, cheap, and fast. Orded quite a lot from there the last years and no problems.

Euroradiosales is good too but have had some stock issues and similar.
