and other things that one must take into account if he wants to come play in your country. thanks for the help, Regards David.

Here is the situation in Germany:

Maximum Power: We have three categories -> 0.08 Joule, 0.5 Joule and 7.5 Joule (Last one has to be semi auto only and be marked with the notorieous F in a Pentagon)

Age: 0.08J -> no restriction, 0.5J -> de facto 14 years of age, 7.5J -> 18

Permit to buy: You don't need a permit for Airsoft guns. You only have to verify that you are 18 if you want the "normal" guns. If you are underaged and want a 0.5J gun, the shopowner might ask for a written permission by your parents, but that is not mendatory by law (i guess they don't want the hassle with angry parents that want to bring the gun back).

Permit to bring the guns THROUGH Germany: To get your guns through Germany you need the Mitnahmeerlaubnis (transport permit) that you can get from the Ordnungsamt that is located clsoest to the point of your entry in Germany. EagleDriver wrote a very good guide on how to order the permit. It is normaly given very fast, but it can also take some time.
Remember that this permit doesn't allow you to use your guns in Germany. It only allows you to take it through Germany, so you can use it in another country. They are still treated as illegal weapons. The gun needs to be locked up in a box with a padlock. It is not allowed to also put ammo and mags in the same box with the gun. Remove the battery and if you want to be realy carefull, dissassemble the gun.

Legal age to own an airsoftgun: 18
However, airsoft is also covered by some of the same laws that cover real steel firearms, and so if you're 16 or older and have been an active member of an airsoft club affiliated with the Norwegian Airsoft Association (NASF) for 6 months, you can apply for a license to own airsoftguns.
Younger players can use, but not legally own their own guns.

There is no formal, legal restriction on power, but the NASF has the following power limits:
A1 full auto - 350fps @ 0.2g
A2 semi only - 450fps, 20m MED @ 0.2g
A3 bolt action - 550fps, 30m MED @ 0.2g
A4 stationary/vehicle mounted full auto - 450fps, 20m MED @ 0.2g
(Stationary: no min. 20m clear line of sight. Vehicle Mount: mounted above head height)

CQB - 300fps @ 0.2g
(parts of the game area are designated CQB zones before the game, this fps limit applies within those parts)

Most serious clubs use these limits.

Finland:

maximum power: no maximun power
age to use the airsoftgun: no age limit
any permit to purchase: if you are under 18-years you need a written permit from your parents to buy airsoftgun
any permit to enter your country with a airsoftgun: There shouldn't be any problem if you are bringing them yourself

UK:

No maximum power limit, though if an incident where someone was injured by a very high power gun it might be classed as a lethal weapon in the legal sense.

Age to use: Any

Any permit to purchase: 18+ for two tone (50% flourescent colored) or with a legal exemption 18+ for realistic full black guns.

Permit to enter country: Not really, the law is very vague. As long as you can legally purchase them you can take them in and out of the country.
