I'm sorry, I feel like I have to correct a mistake made here. Pollies and NAF both suck, Zansia kicks you all the way back to yesterday. ;)

(In short: ffs, it's a game. We're not dancing on your mothers grave here. Relax)

Happy birthday, Anders Tiger Morgan! (sorry being a little late with that)

It was an honour to serve under your command. You've done a great job and we've had a lot fun! Thank you comrade!

The position of Bat. Commander now and in the future.

I have been looking at the comments concerning commanders from past Berget Events up to now. It is no surprise that when BE is looking for commanders for a new game, less and less people are coming forward to do the job. The critic on them is often not fair and looks more like taken them to pieces because their decitions don´t go with the view of some players. It is funny but it´s often those players that would not do the job of commander. As BlackWolf said, if You can do it better, why don´t you come foreward ? To go after the game and bicker about it is rather primitive. Let me tell you what you need as a leader.

- you need experience in airsoft or whatever job you are engaged in.
- you need personality and charisma.
- you must have ability to analyse situations quickly.
- you must have organisatoric skills.
- you must have an ear for your men.
- your men must respect you and this you have to earn.
- you must have communication skills.
- you must be prepared to do the same job that you expect your men to
do.
- you must be aware that you are responsable for your men and actions.
- you must be able to motivate your men.
- you must be honest to your men.

These are only a few abilities you have to display as a commander and if you think you got them, then do the job and stop moaning about those who are doing their best to fulfill the job of commander.
I have for years been in the position of commanding an Air Force Regiment and the task of leading men is not that much different.
Looking in the future of Berget 10, stop moaning about commanders and show how you can do it. Put your name foreward to become a commander.

I am not talking for myself but in my view, all commanders at B9, may they be Poldavians, NAF or Zansians have done a great job. What the Civillians are concerned, I can only speculate, they have done a good job too and added an interesting side to the game.
B6 2nd Bat. CO NATO
B7 Batallion CO Milo´s Tigers
B8 Batallion CO NAF 5th Infantry
B9. Batallion CO NAF 1st Mech
B10 R&R
B11 lets see
War is the continuation of politics by other means. (Klausewitz)

 Why didn't we have chili? Just because we are the army of a former soviet state and everybody thinks that we don't know chili? I have to find a nice field kitchen, so I can make solyanka for the poldavian army next year....My grandma has a very good recipe :)

Like many of you allready pointed out, it is hard to get BAT commanders with experience and the will to lay down their gun and lead a battalion during berget-games.

All of you that stepped forward this year have done a great job, people who complains do not simply understand the effort it takes to lead and coordiante a uncoordinated unit as most airsofters in bigger units (Coys) really are.

In the "real" world a battalion and its companies have several weeks / months of training together before going out on a real operation.

The BAT cmd´s at Berget needs to do this on site 1 day before gamestart, with no or little staff to do coms, reports, op-orders etc. They can mostly not sleep enough due to the high workload and stress.

Berget-events are looking into having "hired" HQ-staff to take the workload off the BAT commanders in future ganes. More info will follow on that.

Anyhow, A BIG THANKS to all Bat cmd´s, staff and officers. Berget would be nothing without your hard work, sweat, blood and tears.

Over and out!
