Shooting in the face should be avoided as far possible of course. Still even a cheap springer pistol could break a tooth, I have witnessed that few times. Whether the guy broke rules or not, you should either use protective mask or accept the risk.
That's true. My brother once shot a tooth from our friend with a Marui spring Socom...

Although I think BE should have make some action against the shooter, since he was clearly breaking the rules.

I disagree that BE it was not to tell us how effectively penalize offenders.
(if there is really punished / penalized players)
Thus we and new players will be more careful.
And this information will act as prevention for each Berget game.

But for this purpose, I'm still looking for information: what actually
happens in serious violations of the game (except friendly bat*com conversation)

Because this year there was alcohol in the camps, was dangerous driving, and had normal problems with cheaters, but if you do report to the GM - you get a response swedish polite smile and guidance to chill:
- Relax buddy, it's just a game. Calm down, I saw everything, d`nt worry.
And only that.

But then what happens?
The lack of such controls could result in more unpleasant situations.

Did you see people drink during in-game hours? I know people consumed alcohol in the camps before and after the actual gaming period, and that's completely fine according to the rules.

But if people were drinking during in-game hours then that would've been a violation.

even in game-off times, drinking should be a no-go untill the end of the game!

From game on until the beer party there should be no drinking, and Berget should make sure that is followed at lot more then they do now.

I'd say its completely fine to take a beer or two during the the time the bases are off game during the night. Just don't get to drinking and be sober once holding a gun.

I think alcohol and airsoft don't fit together at all and there should be a zero tolerance for it...

Dimori is absolutely right: 0 tolerance for alcohol !

Unfortunately only in the Berget-6 was alcotest checks in each base.

My opinion is that the organizers should have control over this problem.

Would be kind of difficult to control though. I mean of course you can try to stop people from drinking in basecamp, but me and my team took a few trips into härnösand to shop for supplies and eat dinner and such during the game.

If we felt like it we could've hit one of the local pubs and have tequila races before going back to basecamp, gear up and join the game while being anything from moderatly drunk to completely shitfaced.

Not that we would do such a thing since we agree that it's both a safety hazard and downright improper to be playing airsoft while intoxicated, but we COULD do it and Berget Events would have quite a difficult time in trying to control it even if they wanted to.

So i'm not opposing your views on the subject, but there's only so much that Berget Events can do to prevent it from happening.

That's where the playes come in to report such behavior to HQ and/or BE (be it trustees or GMs)

If you can't go 4 days without a drop of alcohol, then stay home.

They could control it with breathalyzers, which I take were used during one of the Bergets. But in the end there is just not enough berget crew members in the field to oversee the keeping up of the rules and that's why they should hire more personel. I think many of the situations about cheating in TPs and SPs could have been awoided if there just had been one GM in every location.

Agreed. More personel is required to monitor things.

And as a side-note:

Don't know how many got tied up for these new MGL-events advertised his year, but if any GM's were then the idea of MGL should be scrapped in favor of making sure that enough personel is available for the main gaming area.
