Radio

Post by Jakobms » 28 Mar 2016, 10:14

Hello everyone

Can we be in control of radio frequencies within the Berget?
I think of that could have our radio programmed and ready for the Berget, before we come and everyone knows which frequencies we can use.

Best regards
Jakob

Id imagine as always in the past, sometime before the event Berget Crew will give us a list of frequencies allocated to our team, and then the NAF HQ allocates them to units.

They usually wait until the last week before Berget, to post Radio info.

Does anyone know if we have any long range radios at HQ this year? As I'm capable of sourcing some PRC-152s as well as PRC-117Gs (I already have a 117G that I can fit to my RTO). But there doesn't seem much point in bringing a single 117G, if there's no one on the other end :x

Due to radio frequency allocation in Sweden(and pretty much every other EU country aswell), BE is technically only allowed to use a certain range of frequencies for the event.

You can find the list of freqs used at Berget here(under LPD):

:D I'd love that if that were true, but it's my Battalion QM that's been authorized to sell them (for quite cheap really...), and I've already bought up a couple. :P

Is there any confirmed information about that which bandwidth those radio frequencies are going to be which are give to both teams before the game. Are they UHF or VHF or can they be both, like blue team have different bandwidth than red team?

They will be UHF. The Berget frequencies are always the same. Which team gets which channels will be known before the game, right now we dont have that info.

You can find the Berget freqs in this thread, under LPD:
