In real life you have EW division, any message has a time value attached, I agree with OBI lets keep it simple, stupid. The benefits of a clear short intel communication outweighs by far the possibility that hostiles knows what we know about them.
There are all so special missions where you can impose radio silence if is necessary.

We operated with a poldavian brigade freq for B8-10. Used as a info channel for platoons that could listen and for higher commanders to pass info, as well as the brigade recon force (at least at B10, when I was brigade commander poldavian, sorry Wormbyte, you are not the first overall commander in a Berget game ) during b9 it was more a chat channels for company and recon elements.
Last year our hq element was not on any radio channel, and without a doubt the flow of info to platoon levels dropped a lot. The ability to listen in on higher command comms gives a lot to the guys stuck out on the ground. Just make sure Berget gives you a working repeater channel

We found the GCT repeater in our base last year, on Friday evening. It was set up on the roof of a tent, but wasnt plugged in to anything. Very useful.
