Post by Tordin » 07 Jun 2016, 15:12

when will we get this info?
especially for repeters if we are preprogram the before the game starts.
that is, if we are going to have repeaters.

We are waiting for Berget to give them to the HQ team. No clue when that will happen unfortunately. A lot of people are waiting to program their radios. :(

I can bring a mobile repeater based off two puxings and a small battery operated interconnected repeater. Might be wise to have a laptop to program them in base before deployment though.

It's a good solution for putting on a hilltop by a squad if a battle is in radio shadow during the game.

There has usually been a repeater provided by the Crew. Last year they just didnt set it up, and it was located in our base. :D

I've never heard anything positive about the Berget provided repeaters :)

if we really hit them hard this year about bringing repeaters and all the stuff around it, maybe it will get to the better :)

Team specified radio channels are normally released about one week before the game starts to maximize the clusterfuck on each side

The repeaters are put in place by Berget Crew or is the players duty to set them up?

Tiger can you tell us please what type of equipment was used last year as repeater on red side ?

Last year I dont think red side had a repeater, and as I said in the other thread, the red side hq last year did not use radio nets at all for command comms. So radios where internal company comms only. For B10 Berget provided a proper repeater, and had a dedicated crew member who worked on comms.

Except for the fact that nobody down the ranks could listen in to comms and get an idea of what was going on. I tried to tell hq things several times during the game, but they did not care to listen to a radio. Then both lose out.
That hq had great comms with their bn and company commanders on nets nobody else can follow does not aid info flow in a airsoft game (and lack of info is the nr 1 complaint of grunts in airsoft). Being a platoon commander or platoon sgt who can pick up some chatter on the command net, tell the guys now and again really does help people.
