We will try to distribute the frequencies by the end of the week.

And how do I programme in the repeaters? Is there a quick and easy explanation or should I just you tube it?

RX=Receive
TX=Transmit
CTCSS/DCS: 110,9

Simple enough? :)

By the way is it better to set up only REP RX frequency with offset shift + 7.000 or should I set up both RX and TX and set up radio to TX prio to the channel that is showing the REP TX? Or does it really matter? And when we should use 5W rep and when 10W? Or does it matter either?

Can someone confirm this is correct?

Thanks :)

Im personally using narrow band, I remember something about previous years saying you should use it instead of wide.

Roger that!

But the repeater channels are correct (beside the wide)?

Do not use narrow band or loss in coverage by 10 - 30% is to be expected. There is no need for that in analog comms rather than using less bandwidth for more available channels. The channels are 25KHz apart, so anyways, the intermediate channels are not used.

There have been many studies and it is a well known fact that in the analog comms (which is our case) the narrower the deviation, the less the coverage. One of the reasons for the switch to digital nowadays is the new regulations that imposes narrow band as the radio spectrum became overcrowded.

Range is essentially unaffected or even enhanced with narrow/very narrow digital compared to 25KHz analog. Narrow deviation affects the Signal/Noise ratio which in turn becomes perceived by the end user as a decrease on overall clarity and range.

Another reason for not going narrow band is the fact that Puxing and other chinese radios that are commonly used by our community does not have properly implemented this feature, the filters used are poor quality; this translates in a poor Signal/Noise figure.

Please don`t take it personally if some one else tell`s you are wrong, he cant force you to be right :).

What bandwith is wide? Becasuse if you use 25khz, you will be stepping on the next channel.
