Re: UPIR Mech - Only class 5 vehicles?

My concern is primarily that everyone (except for the handful of players with a class 5 truck) with an in game car will try to joun NAF mech, simply because they have no other option. The NAF will have a huge number of mech clogging the roads and getting shot up like fish in a barrel by Upir artillery and anti tank guns, while UPIR on their end will not have an effective mobile strike force. I think gameplay will suffer for both sides because of this.

Proposed solution: let UPIR mech have class 3 vehicles too (fully armored, with turrets), as well as class 5. They will still be a heavy mech unit, supported by class 5 "tanks"

NAF mech can be limited to class 1 and 3, being a lighter motorized*/mechanized** force, but with more vehicles in total than UPIR.

*motorized: unarmed/unarmoured vehicles used primarily as transport
**mechanized: armed/armoured vehicles used actively in combat, in synergy with small numbers of dismounts.

(From the Story)
" [...] The area have been under UPIR control for months and there are several heavily guarded fortifications, basecamps and weapon caches in the area. [...] "

I highly doubt that light/medium vehicles will be able to just roll over class 5's supported by heavy fortifications and heavy weapons infantry with huge anti tank weapons and UAV/Drone Support.

Any news about this? This is a deal breaker for me and my team whether we should go or not (or if we _perhaps_ should play as mercenaries), and since the 30th of October is closing in it would be good to know how BE thinks about this.

We are looking forward to play as UPIR Heavy Weapons & Demolition Unit and for the past years, we always brought our vehicle, even when we played inf.

This year, there is mentioned, that both infs are not allowed to have any vehicles. In the description of the demolition unit, nothing like that is mentioned, so are we allowed to bring a class 1 vehicle?

As the unit description and special uniform requirements state the team reminds a lot of combat engineers, I would personally see it fit that this kind of a unit would have a vehicle at their disposal.

However, info(a)berget-events.com is your friend in this case

Is it okay for other units in UPIR to have vehicles if they have a valid need for one?
Like me i have bad knees and we are doing kidnappings and other LARP stuff so the need for ingame vehicle is huge for us

UPIR Heavy Weapons & Demolitions are allowed to use vehicules. Even below class 5 as far as I understood it.
