Good Evening dear Citizens of Lirantia

This is your Judge speaking.
I felt it was important to introduce myself.
My name is James Cantelli Michaels and I have been elected to serve as your judge.
It is important for me to have your trust in me at an all time high in these trying times.

I know that you have no reason to trust me yet but I wish to let you all know that any legal matters
that comes before my court will be dealt with in an objective manner befitting a truly fair justice system.
I was elected by the people and not a political figure to serve you thus I will remain completely neutral in all matters.

I wish to help you as a mediator and not a punisher.
Of course we cannot have a truly civilized society without laws and thus I present to you the Laws and Bylaws of Lirantia.
I look forward to meeting you all and build a greater community in Lirantia.

These laws are BE Approved, and are to be considered as official laws for Civilians and other larpers, The police will enforce them.

I see people RP'ing in this thread so I'd like to preface this as a non-RP response, but I'm pretty sure the story page on the website says the country is Lirantina, instead of Lirantia.

Which is a very important thing when ordering patches or printwork.

I’m in tears - it’s the most beautiful thing I have read in a long time.
I’m sure the all our local families will gather and protect our only barkeeper.
It smells that the “law” is making hidden threats

I respect that you cherish your homeland and wish to defend it.
You have to remember that I do not write the laws but that job falls to the legislators of this country.
I only enforce them from my courtroom and if you have any concerns about the police, you should file an official complaint through your attorney and I will give it due process in my court where you will have plenty of opportunity to plead your grievances.

I do not make any threats towards either of you. It is merely a friendly reminder that I take all transgressions of the law serious.
In my courtroom I will be fair and just in every case that comes before me and it is important for you to know that no one is above the law, not even the police.
These laws are in place to ensure that our society does not turn into the wild west and so that anyone is protected by the law.
Remember that you ar innocent until proven guilty.

If you have any problems with the laws of this country, you take it up with your local representative of government and file a motion with him.
Regarding weapons permits I refer you to the Police which will elaborate further.
I only deal with matters inside the courtroom.

We have not met or heard from any chief of police, so maybe you could have him, or another contact from the police step forward.

Hunting season starts at 25/6.
Since we now need a permit, to carry guns, in our own country, it would be nice to actually be able to get one.

Do not force us to become criminals, just to survive..
Because hunt we will ! And if need be, we will defend our freedom, at all cost !

People without a Criminal Record can purchase a weapon license directly from Police starting June 25th. To make it easier for all Citizens, they will travel around to all Towns and Settlements to make it easy for you.

Yes the Police force will be all over the area from around 12:00 the 25th so you all can aply for the licenses you need. Just walk up to a police officer or a police car, and we will help you. We will be in uniform.
