More information about B18 - Covid, Tickets etc

Post by Arradin » 24 Feb 2022, 10:07

We are happy to confirm that Berget 18 2022 is still on track! There are no governmental restrictions hindering us from having the event, and we are busy with the planning. With this update, we do want to bring forward a few clarifications.

1. We do not require our participants to wear masks at the event. However, you still need to check the rules that may apply at different public transportation options on your way to the event. If you want to wear a mask during any time of the event, you are of course free to do so (but please use a camo-mask)!

2. We do not require our participants to have taken covid-19 vaccine. But also here, please check the rules for any public transportation options you are considering when traveling to the event. Berget-Events will not provide covid-19 vaccine nor covid-19 tests or ask for vaccine-pass at the event.

3. We will not organize the Berget-tents according to vaccination status. However, we do encourage larger groups traveling and/or playing together to contact us and book Berget-tents where you will sleep together. As usual, it is also possible to bring your own camo/OD tent if it gets approved by Berget-events. If you like to bring your own tent, read the tent specifications on our rules page at www.berget-events.com

4. In general, we implore our participants to be extra careful with hygiene like washing hands. We believe that the awareness of this will be greater than before the pandemic. In case you start to feel sick during the event but are still fit enough to go on, we ask you to be extra careful. In this situation, we recommend you to carry a mask when entering non-combat areas like the shops in the safe-zone.

5. As usual, we will have a shop in the safe-zone offering airsoft gear. There will also be small kiosks available both in the safe zone, but also in some of the larger camps offering food and other refreshments.

And to some more general information.
Tickets bought/paid before 2021-07-01 are possible to save until next year, 2023. If you are not able to attend this year and would like to save your ticket until Berget 19, you need to register that following this link. All unutilized or reserved tickets will be removed at the start of Berget 18. Please note that none of the tickets bought after 2021-07-01 will be eligible for saving until next year. You are still free to sell any unwanted tickets to other players.

There are also many unpaid tickets holding up spaces in popular sections & teams. We will therefore remove all unpaid tickets in the coming 7 days (2nd of march) to free up space for players wanting to join a fully booked section/team.

BAVS
Regarding BAVS systems rental. We will wait until the end of march to be able to balance numbers of AT vs numbers of mechanized units on each side. After a good balance is set we will announce a release of all available BAVS for each team.

Special Forces
The special forces unit standard requirement test will be at check-in location. The test will be that each player will have to run for 12 minutes on a track in shoes and clothes of their own choice. After 12 minutes the distance for that player will be calculated. The minimum requirement is 2500 meters for Men and 2300 meters for Women. This is mandatory for all players in the unit with no exceptions.

Players who fail the test will be able to play in any other unit on GCT (Blue team) and will not follow the special forces to their secret starting location. Please also understand that if we for any reason find players with bad attitudes or dangerous behavior, we can at any time pull them from this unit.

More game related info
Commander selections, OP-orders, maps, base locations and other game related information will be released in further news posts soon.

Official response on this topic:

" We will not ban or discriminate against specific players or nationalities, we are following our governments policies in the matter and are well aware that the ongoing conflicts are not to be blamed on individual citizens "

Additionally, Berget Games is just that, games - The games , nor the players, represent ongoing conflicts all around the world.
You may run into players in russian uniforms that are not russian, its just their outfit.

We should all take the chance we can to escape the horrors of the real world, and just enjoy a fantastic Berget 18 together.

Important: Real world topics , especially ongoing conflicts, are not to be discussed on this forum - it will be removed.
