GPS and Maps provided by Berget Crew

Post by Hansman007 » 03 Jun 2007, 22:15

Hello,

I've got a question about the Maps provided by Berget Crew for Ingame navigation.
Are the Grids on them useable with GPS like UTM or similar?

my guess is that they isnt.. since sweden use it´s own map reference grid system called RT90 (Rikets Triangelnät 90)
i know that some GPS can use RT90... maybe you could find a upgrade for your GPS so that it can use RT90 grids if that isnt standard...
..

in a couple of years though the swedish military will adopt the UTM grids and then all the civilian maps will be changed to use that too.... but it wont happen this year ;)

When is the maps released? I remember that somewhere was said that the maps are released a week before berget. Well it's under week now. And the maps are REALLY essential for navigating a foreign place, planning tactics and etc. We eould like to have maps as soon as possible, so we can print as many as needed.

Hi,

Can some swedes help me with this please?

Where can I buy the Garmin Sweden TOPO map (the Friluftskartan Pro), the easiest way? like a walk in store, where I can basically go in and buy it "supermarket style", after I get off the ferry in Nynasham...

any shops on the way to Harnosand?

I emailed Garmin.se with no bloody response from them...

thanks,

Tomy

I'd try www.naturkompaniet.se they _might_ have it in stock.
