Brujo wrote:Akira, I am sorry if you read my story wrong. I am fully aware of all the merits that czech did, including assisting the Specnaz, guarding the W side of the base, leading the final attack of the swe base from the south... my message was to Mike, who did not keep contact with me. Plain and simple. Did you notice me wandering around the Czech camp couple of times? Yes, I was looking for Mike. I think Deki and Björn might have something to add to the issu aswel, but let us wait for this until we meet again in person and then we can discuss in all the fury of wild eastern-eauropean savages which we apparently are.

Again, Czech players did good, Slovenians aswel, GBGF aswel, but as a unit your were non-existing to me.

Tomy... hul hovno
Let our fighting axes be buried. We will se at another Berget and we can diskust it.My reaction was really overreacted.Im litle bit angry still about what i heard at other forums from Allieds forces.About how we did not won and others.Complaing at everything.
And now i saw your responce to our work at Berget.
So sorry.
Mea Culpa.
And Tony told me his opinion at Personal Msg. and he was right in his point of wiev.

Our friends who played for the allies have their own problems, I sympathise with them. And I will not interfere with that.

Vasilij debriefing

Post by Mike von Bulow » 26 Jun 2007, 11:49

Hello guys,

I have some small things to say as well.

In advance I dont want to start a heated discusion or some argument, but I have some feedbacks.

Firstly:

Command: as we all know airsofters are not the army and than it is quite hard to expect from them to act like one. Therefore we shold not expect that it would work like it.

Radio communication promissed by organisers was missing.

Brucho did a good job in the conditions he got, when I was going to Berget I had a bit different ideas about how it would look also in the terms of game organisation objectives.

About company Vasilij. We had three Platoons one made of Czechs Second made of Swedes led by Bjorn third led by Deki a platoon of slovenians.

We were given some missions we had performed Firstly all guys from Czech platoon went for a game to support specnaz on thursday

One third of the company left on Friday 0001 morning on first mission with CO Herman to get the radio. And they did (people led by Bjorn). My HQ was in the meantime digging trenches in the rain and patroling perimetter.

Slovenians didnt help us digging trenches, because Deki was asleep they didnt listen to what I had told them. Ok after they had patroled perimeter.

Friday
From the morning Vasilij is patroling perrimeter. No clear missions are given to Brujo from organisators. Troops are bit annoyed from the game so far. Because organisators didnt gave any propper mission ready I had agreed with Brujo that Vasilij will attack the Blue base.

Im taking all Company and we do as we were told in the assault we meet other Red soldiers despite from Vasilij CO. We had performed our orders as we were told with good results. And we worked well by approaching to the objective.

After we come back Brujo tortures prisonners making all Czech platoon disrespecting him (According to Czech Airsoft this is not allowed and it is strictly forbidden). Tragic incident is being announced and the game is called off. Czech platoon in the Piety goes off game till saturday morning. Bjorn and his boys are send to patroll the road for the crate extraction Mission. Slovenians are supposed to go kill Allied general but they are all sleeping and they make general very pissed.

In general Czech and Russian delegation in this moment is a bit confused from the game.

Im happy for Vader that he receives the greating for his great command but in reallity Russians vere not listening to him at all.

Saturday morning.Russians approach Czechs in search of volounteers for assaulting the cannons. Czech and Russians confused from the game so far agree on the volontary mission and went for it. Russians go without Vader ignoring him on the radio. Czechs and russinas made the assault and blow two out of three guns.

After we came back we were put to guard the base before rocket lounch Vasilij is patroling the bushes top of the base, no attack came, my HQ and Dekis boys sweep some sporadic attackers near the gate, after we assembled and went from the save zone to our mission.

Boris and Vasilij combine under my command and we assaulted the base under great cooperation of all units. Slovenians, Russians, Czechs, Swedes and international group of people without any problem. The remaining third gun was blown of by 3 russians and 5 czechs, people from Vasilij Company blown the remaining two guns as well just in case.

Radio communication was established with the Brujos HQ trought the radios we brought with us from the start of the game.

From my point of view we worked well and we had done what we were told.

As you say I was not reachable, meabe you should have tried a bit harder. Problem was that we had a base next to a car park as we were told by organisers. You had a radio that had a frequency Czechs were working on in your HQ (Czechs had 4 of this receivers on all the time), Me and other Platoon commanders from Vasilij had a frequency on PMR 4.14 where we were discussing matters. And you had my mobile phone. All you needed to do was to grab first czech you see and tell him that you need me.

So if you thing I didnt mannaged it well, thanks for your feedback, but I have other opinion.

In generally I thing we should have of course performed better but we shall keep improving all of us.

Best regards,

P.S. In general the game was not MILSIM at all

Mike, thanks for the information. Indeed I never said I was perfect, nor did I post this topic to hear only good things about me. Was expecting critics and so I learn and improve with next events.

It will be a pleasure to play with you all again.

Brujo... I think you were a good commander at Berget 5

However there are things that can be better for next year, for example..

* Have the battalion and coy commanders there a day before the rest of your "soldiers" that way you can all plan the layout of the camp and the base defenses, so people who arrives early won´t have to move their tents and equipment across the camp after you arrive.

* Have a meeting a few hours before the game starts, and introduce the commandstructure to the players, keep it simple "I´m Brujo, your CO, this is .... my 2nd in command, that way everybody will know who is who...

* Have your company commanders do the same but on a coylevel, and even down to platoonlevel, in a real army everybody knows who their platoon and company commander is, and who to turn to if the "boss" is hit...

Just a few things I thought of so far, there might be more later...

I think Brujo did a good job considering the circumstances.
There is alot of talk about commanders and chain of command but i think the real problem is players who goes rambo just because there is no funny mission for them at the moment. That maks it very hard to command, a unit which is unrelayeble and vary in size is almost wortless. Add a weak comunication and you have shitstorm on the way.

I was platoon commander in Dimitri and i had my platoon waiting and guarding the hole game exept the assault on the Blue base on saturday, a walk in the forest for some missile parts and the last assault on the swedish base.

Thats what we got for doing what we were told.

I was the platoon leader of the Herman 2'nd platoon. I had 34 Norwegians and 8 spanish people in my command.

My Platoon was operative 24/7. I felt we had a major lack of information and orders. The radio that we was promised, did never show up. It is impossible for the highest command to navigate your companies and troops when you are not able to communicate with them...
Also, my Company leaders was only operative 12hours a day. And the only way to communicate with them was to look them up in person.

As a platoon leader. My biggest responsibe is to make the people of my platoon get the most out of the game. This was not a easy job because of this.

But during saturday i felt this changed. When the third party (company leaders) was cut of. And I reported directly to Brujo.
I do not attack either Brujo or others here personal. I will love to work with you guys again. But I feel that this is something we can learn a lot of..

Enough said about the bad communication. Me and my platoon had a great time!. We do not simply sit on our buttoms when the leadership above us does not work. We had always people out in the field reporting intel back at us. And our posts at the base defence was always operative.

Friday, we hooked up with Dimitri and Vasilli company, and had a major attack on their base. This lasted for 4hours.
Meanwhile we had a small squad out collecting intel about the other bases around the island.

Later, on friday night. We had been waiting 7hours for orders. And doing several attemt to request any.
We had just heard that Commander Red and his Spetsnaz was about to attack some cannons. My req squad had put them on the map earlier that day, so I sent my the whole platoon to clean the way for Spetsnas and maybe attack the base. After we had cleaned more than 2km of hostile road, and killed more than 30% of the finnish freedom fighters. We where all the way at the main gate at the Finnish base, when Spesnaz showed up. Then everything become a mess. But it was something of the coolest thing I've ever seen ;)
I split my Platoon in two, and we joined spetsnas and Dimitri? for a attack on the swedish base. It also become a mess ;) But a great attack I will remember.

We did return to the base at 05:00 Saturday morning.
Rest of the day was mainly base defence. Untill we was included in the attack of the Swedish base.
We escorted the tanks into the base as planned with great success. Along with with Dimitri Company we builded up a bullet proof line that sweeped into the base fron north and north west. I felt we had full controll all the way, and did not have any big casualties. From the other side, my right flank hooked up vith Borris and vasilli. We made a Sandwich out of the swediah base, and was about to close it around the few still living enemies when the game was stopped.

I wish we had a working communication Brujo, but I think you did great. You did not have an easy job, newer knowing when a company was online or not. Maybe the berget crew did not provide you enough information either.

I was a UN Squad leader in Berget 4, but we did see a lot more action this time at berget 5. Even if the structure did not work as good as it did back then.

Greetings to all my new Comrads.

You must be talking about Swedish base, coz we didn't have any gates in the middle of a swamp.
