Berget Forum

Didn't find a specific area for this post, but I reckon this will do just as fine.

For a week or two I have been receiving a 503 announcement from the forum (see attachment). Dunno if anyone else has had this problem, but I figured I should let the Events know.

This happens quite often, pretty much every time I try to use the forum. It usually goes away after I refresh the page or come back later.

We know that alot of you have been frustrated and irritated during the past months due to our website, forum and email not working properly, and so have we.

We have during this period repetedly reported the issues to our web hotel and server host Crystone without any progress.
Berget Crew have had frequent problems with using the email accounts, and somtimes not been able to log in for several days, and, like last year, we have had major issues with our spam-filter.

Changing provider of these services before Berget would lead to even bigger problems, therefore we will close down the website and forum direclty after berget, and during the summer we will start the work of changing provider to be able do deliver better services.

Starting this fall we will have a dedicated server for our website, email and forum to sovle the problems.

Are you going to close the forum like immediately after the game? Only asking this because players might want to discuss the game and share stories, photos and video from the event.

I mean the players will want to, but its not like the forum will work anyway.

No, the forums will not be shut down - its our main source of feedback alongside with all the great stories

The forum is now moved to new dedicated web hosting. It should be much faster now

Thanks to the effort of our dedicated TECH CREW, servers and hosting are finaly moved from old webhost. And as you can see, it spinns like a cat now!
