Smoke grenade on vehicles.

So i just got a brilliant idea.
I know that smokegrenades are not allowed on berget because of the firehazard in the woods.

But what if its on a car?

I am wondering if i could attach/weld steel pipes to our front bumper and have smoke grenades in them.
To produce a smokescreen.

Something similar to what tanks and humvees have. But except theese wont launch anything.

I was planning to use enola gaye wire pull smokes. Pull the ring and insert in the steel pipe. No risk of fire what so ever

I would like to know what you guys think. And most important of all, what crew thinks.

Nice idea and seems very safe regards to fire hazard.
Very usable in situation when you need to back up and retreat.

I had something like that mounted in 2012, but i didnt use them in the game. Uses enola gaye smoke grenades that is ignited remotely.

A B.E guy said it was ok to use as it was inside a metal tube, only to be used on the road and not in the Woods/grass.

"Smokes & pyros
As it stands, no player brought pyrotechnic devices may be used within the game area. Unless the situation changes, no player may bring any form of pyrotechnics, whether commercial or home-made. Smoke and FX will be provided by crew to concerned players."

Maybe you can bring the rig as you described and show us on Berget 12. Or send pictures. That way we can review it and consider...

I've had at least one really nasty incident with allergic reactions to smoke. The guy couldnt breathe and had to be emergency evacuated from the battle. He recuperated but it was quite terrifying before he did. So even if you do solve the fire hazard thingie there are other factors to consider as well. I do believe that someone had brought an "illegal" smoke grenade to that game so proper adherance to what grenades are allowed should fix this.

Just to be clear: I really love smoke, been using it extensively at a number of games and it adds a whole new level of awesome to any fight. If there is a way to safely add smoke launchers to vehicles I will be the first to support the idea.

I can bring my setup to the game so you can take a look. Maybe test it too.

People's reactions to smoke is not my problem, i mean, if somebody have allergy(or any breathing problems) i would advise them to just leave smoky areas. Personally i wouldnt recomend anyone to sit around any smoke for a long time anyway, that's why i only use 30 sec smokegrenades. I would respect them and not use smoke if requested.

The official statement on vehicle-mounted smoke is as follows:

Vehicle-mounted smoke is, after inspection by crew, permitted.
Bring your car to safe zone and ask at check-in.
Be prepared to "fire one off" so we can see the effects and check temperatures.

Tips: When constructing these. Keep in mind that safety is our main concern. Make sure that the container holding the smoke does not go hot. Fire hazard can be extremely high during summer. Also check that players outside the vehicle do not come in direct contact with the pyro.
