Radio controlled turret

Post by KviCkerN » 07 Nov 2014, 22:39

i was thinking to build a RC controlled turret and i got all the plans but then it was berget.
i sendt a mail to berget and get a no, on this because they need to see the shooter. :?
its so many gunner you cant shoot at. so why cant we use this?
it's slower then using a real man and harder to see the enemy.

i was thinking to build something like this. so i dont need to cut my roof and i can use this on any other car i buy in the future.

Its 2014 soon 2015 and they got the turrets in the army why cant we take it to the airsoft playground?

and yes its going to be a button on the outside off the car so u can turn the turret off from outside the car.

What are you other guys think about it?

Well from my point of view it is not the same as having a gunner. Although he is probably under very good cover you always can make a good move or ambush him from the back! In a RC controlled MG what can you do? You have to have BAV!

Although it's awesome I believe the game can't get something from that. Perhaps we have to think some other use . Like protecting an entrance of a fortified point , without moving! Making hard to assault from that direction

Stelios it's going to be a switch on the outside off the car so u can turn it off. and remember a real guy can move the gunner much easier then a RC and see more then u can whit the RC.

try to ambush the bandvagn 206 whit the turrent on the roof and tell me how that go. u need to climb it to take it out.

So you need to climb on someone elses in-game vehicle to turn off the turret?

No thanks.

no u need to climb other cars on berget to take out the gunner man because they got shield all around. and its not so many place at berget that u are on higher ground then the car so. maybe start bringing a ladder.

so no you don't need to climb the car to take out the RC turret. panzer ;)

The RC turret off switch is going to be on the backside off the car and one on the side off the cars. This will be marked.

Shooting out people in turrets are still much easier than what this will ever be. In a four car formation, with foot mobiles running around, it is still possible to take out manned turrets from a distance. That won't be an option with your turret where the one need to get up close and personal. Even the ones with full builds.

Also, slow turn speed isn't enough to justify the build. A well aimed turret in said formation doesn't have to turn a degree to effectively hold off attackers down an axis.

Not only that, the turret gunner can also be pinned or at least he is not really able to aim as precisely as without being shot at. With a RC-turret you don't have to worry about those BB's and are able to maintain precision.

exact sledgehammer!! only problem i see here is they are just afraid to get pinned down by i rc turret...

Berget did just go No because u need to see the shooter(what about those other cars that have 1 meter tall shield over there heads?) My gunner can u see in the windows

Berget need to get those rules for car mutch better.

REMEMBER - MilSim is an abbreviation of military simulation!!! Then we should start using some off what they use today to!

Guess it would be fine by you if I bring an attack drone then? Dropping waterbombs from 100+ meters height? So if you are within 30 meters of it, be it in a car, building or by foot you should be called out dead?

Excellent.

No, not everything is clever to implement in airsoft despite its real life existence, and yes, the turret towers tok a bit overhand last year. I don't support every version of those, but I'd rather take on such a tower any day before your RC gun.

still if you blow up the car with the bavs the turret is down two and it will be a pain in the ass to reload the turret right?

Well if you build the turret as a replica of the Kongsberg Defense Protector as is used by among others the US armed forces and the very similar Nordic used by Norway and have a opening in the roof of your car reloading would not take more then a few seconds.
It all comes down to the way you make your turret.

If they allow a remote weapons system to be put on cars, as I dont see all that much problems with if they are build solid and tested at gamesite, there should be different rules for that group of cars puting them at a disadvantaged some how. I am not surre what would be the best way, but having that advantaged should not be let on the field with out some sort of penalty to even it out some!

IRL, a well-placed round to the loading mechanism will wreck a turret.
In airsoft, it'll do --- SPAM !!! --- all...

It needs to be killable by realistic methods, like covering the damn thing in pressure plates with micro switches that'll turn it off when it gets hit.
If it can't be killed by an airsoft weapon, it's just not going to get in the game.
