This is more of an opposition to the praising people, than the Game Crew.

When we are paying customers, who make a purchase and simultaneosly think that their purchase will be satisfying, it is acceptable to give feedback.

Even more, Berget Crew will want to get more customers, so making satisfied customers, they make more customers. Simple?

So, The Game Crew want ideas to improve their product, so customers can buy a product they want.

Got it?

The terrain was challenging enough, it was many nice views from some spots that I was at. The most annoying spot was when bravo was aiding one of india platoon up at Speckta top and we could see that mast and the windmill at our base as "tiny" spots in the horisont. We couldn't belive that we had walked that long away from our base.

Area could have been bigger.

Or it could have worked better with smaller forces.

Area was excellent for an airsoftgame like this, but the camps were too close and Berget-Events (BE) didn't utilize game area good enough.

The parties were kept away from each other too much and I agree that tabbing for hours for objects never put in place may demotivate some people. This is not the military and airsofters are not satisfied when the arranger forgets to put objects in place.

Although some hardcore and well trained players with military background would like more area and distance - the majority of airsoft players are not trained or fit for multi-hour tabs. So some players left early because of this and that - but mainly because of too little action.

Personally I had a good time learning to cope with new gear and my own personal limitations in the terrain. More roads? Perhaps better for logistics, but when game fights take place on public roads with ordinary civilians passing by - things get out of hands. Better seal-off-jobb around game area next time please. For a laidback and untrained dude like myself the game area was perfectly big and enough varied in landscape ;-)

OT, but related to milsim vs LARP: When I served in UN service we were trained for that politically ruled role and were explicitly tutored the difference between our UN-functions versus the more classical military actions. Whatever the UNIFIL HQ decided would not be just by military terms - but also by political ditto.

IMHO B6 website failed to communicate its elements of LARP to the players beforehand, thus misleading many people to believe this was to be some kind of 24h BB-fest, milstyle 5-day airsoft-battle with classical batallion, company and platoon structure.

Based on B6 website info and forum debates, we here in Norway organized ourselves in a Norwegian company, unaware that we may perform- or encounter some LARP elements ingame at B6.

As a base defense sentry I was therefore more than happy not to suffer through elements of LARP on my shifts. I simply wouldn't know how to behave or roleplay that stuff.

Point is: You don't act outside your training mandates. I had a giggle when the Finnish SRP CO tried to buy me off, but I can happily be without that stuff since my club in our weekend skirms don't practice LARP and only a few select Norwegian two-day events have LARP-elements like that. If B7 wants LARP I hope I'm not anywhere near it ingame, cause I don't know how to perform that stuff - YET.

On topic - game area: An excellent game area - for both milsim and LARP - if the game-dynamics also match with the participants expectations - Berget will persevere as an excellent concept.

I'll attend B7 whatever layout chosen. Be whatever it is called.

Your mileage may vary - :-)

I hope this is not a common opinion of the crew. Pleas tell me it's not.

To Ming The Princess () :

Hiking long distances in the woods is also classified as airsoft in my books. Such action should not be limited to Milsim events and I don't know what kind of action you are used to, but IMO crowded, small game area with easy terrain doesn't exactly help when it comes to having a great time at an event, which should offer something different than action akin to a normal sunday skirmish.

Although it is true that Berget 6 was occasionally lacking in purposeful action, I am content enough with my Berget 6-experience to conclude that I had a great time at Berget.

Well, from my point of view, the game area was great!

At the beginning of the game, I met a Finn who told me that this is a "small area"... I just thought wtf....

After B6, I came to the conclusion it could've been bigger. We moved from NATO to UN base in about one hour (by foot). But nevertheless, it was a very good place for the game!!

And, OT: I'm really looking forward to more LARP elements in B7!. We had great fun in the bandit camp!

I quit enjoyed the LARP side of the game.. :D

I "bought" 2 UN-squads into SRP just before NATO attacked us... :P

We also "contracted" civilians into the SRP.

We were offered "escort girls" by certain shady characters but never recieved them due to a missunderstanding about the payment...

Ive always had a nice blend of milsim/larp/airsoft at berget.
Maybe we can call it BARP (Berget Airsoft Role Playing..)
