Eye Protection

Post by Spof » 02 Apr 2009, 23:40

This is actually quoted from NIN:

Bring several different types of protection so when you take off one pair to have them cleaned you can put on another pair so your are safe while doing this.

Also for comfort I find it best to have a couple of glasses since all of them shafe and irritate my nose ears etc in different places. Some of you might think that your goggles/glasses are very comfortable but try wearing them for 72h straight and you will find that is not the case. Having several pairs of different models is best for me.

Also have something to clean your nose with every night so you dont get an infection from irritation/sweat/paint on your nose.

Remember that you will have to wear eye-protection for the whole duration of the game even during the "offgame" hours every night. A stray bullet of a guy tinkering with his weapon or a combatant without a watch might attack even during this time.
Veteran Gamemaster.

One trick I did last year was that I brought several goggles. In on of the goggles I had dark shade lenses for day and sunny weather use, in one of the goggles I had clear lenses for night/cloudy use and in one of the goggles I had yellow lenses for just in case. This way I didn't have to change my lenses during the game, only the goggles. And I was able to do this quickly when in base by judging what time of the day it is.

Nobody could ever in any conditions justify using chemistry goggles like the ones on frenos link there. Not for airsoft. Ever.

I agree on bringing several glasses and goggles. On things like goggles, extra batteries and such I dont think there is such a thing as overkill, but one should eventually try and not to bring too much stuff. You'll have to carry your sh1t around at some point

I'll bring a pair of ESS V12 Advancers and some ESS Profile NVG's. Think that should cover that.

Hello
Is facemasks allowed?
As long as it protects you from 690 FPS guns it´s ok but will you be able to go 24/7 with it on all the time.

Think about a good pair of googles or glasses.
