yeah, technically....

but i guess it's nice to have a m320 or m203 for the BAVS. you know for the :tank: and the :wank: that's camping in hard to get spots (i have been told they may put BAVS on those hard to get targets like towers an such, or is it just dead weight?

... well, you can use a M320 for that, it looks and is also working good. You can also take a 40mm-pistol-launcher for that. It's cheap (if you don't got an M320 or similar already), small and light.
Little example on that: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=8893
(there is also a video in the description)

We used that launcher at B10 for the BAVS-40mm and it worked well.

True, but using a tiny thingy as an anti-vehicle launcher just feels wrong :x

If you're gonna take out a vehicle, use something big! Like a M79 or a CAW or just an underslung 40mm launcher :p

In all fairness, that's more an exception than a rule and the guy that can handle that is probably the Hulk :P

Just had to add here, that a 40mm HEDP grenade takes out a car or a truck without any problems. The recoil from it is child's play and can be shot from a really small piece of equipment without any further assistance than one extended hand. So I don't see any problems in using a small 40mm to take out vehicles. If we want more milsim, then we need to implement different vehicle classes like light, armored and tanks. Then apply different amount of shots to take them out or different weapons capable of destroying them, ex;
40mm for Light
Lets say a light rocket type grenade for Light and Armour
Heavy AT for Tanks, Armour and Light

But I get the feeling that this would be way to hard to implement... but it would be grate milsim!

Anyhow, how about back to topic? :D
What kind of brands do you guys use for you'r gear?
High quality actual combat gear or cheep airsoft replicas?
Any thought on the actual difference between them?
Suggestions on brands to get and witch ones to stay away from?

i did not say that it dos not exist, personally i just do not want to fire a 433 without a stock, i do not think i am able to handle it, i guess i am recoil sensitive:P

and about 40mm taking out a car (unarmored). there is no doubt... but i do not think anyone said that it can't

it is just that idon't think that i am (me personally) going to fire a 433 with no but-stock without slapping myself in the face with it :D

BAVS has had those things implemented from the start. Have you noticed how all the BAVS receiver units state a certain percentage of armor on the displays?
A normal BAVS receiver for a light car has 15% armor. The one on the Berget Trucks that we used as APC's at Berget 9 has 30% armor. :tank:
Tanks and such, like the old plywood T-72 and Shilka, have 100%.
The BAVS 40mm does 15% damage, enough to take out a car in one shot. The BAVS AT-4 does 30%, taking out an APC-truck in one hit, but needing several hits to deal with a T-72.
:cooltank:

(all numbers might be slightly off; I'm writing from memory)
I haven't seen those tanks in game since Berget 7 though. I think they broke down or were scrapped or something...

Also, used to be that all player owned vehicles were unarmored and you could kill the driver and passengers with a burst to the windows, but now you need a BAVS for all of them.

Big problem me and my whole team made last year was going out overloaded. We all where rocking plate carriers with about 20 m4 mags all over then each mission we only used 6-8. This year i will be cutting down on my mag count to just 10 and two spare at base incase I lose any.

Most helpful thing was a 3 war tie between baby wipes, shovels and talcum powder.
Baby wipes used for anything to do with hygiene.
Shovels to dig a nice trench around your tent to keep ourselfs dry.
And theres nothing like talcum powder in your sock to keep your feet nice and dry!

One thing a few of us forgot last year and it will not happen this year is a towel!!! I will be bring two of them for use this year!

I'd haveto say the piece of kit that saved my ass at berget X , was My Puxing PX888 with uppgraded antenna.
If it wasn't for it would have struggeled alot in the wood's alone when i broke my ankle 2 places.

As a sniper i was traveling alone, i even with the 5W Puxing i was alone in the woods crawling for an hour before i got hold of my teamates.

5 Months later im still in training to get the anckle working again :(

So next year im gonna go for :tank: (mech)
