I don't know exactly what they're going to do, but the way BE describes the unit makes me think that you shouldn't join if you have any doubts about it.

The past two years, I took a recon team to sleep out in the field, and out of the three nights we spend out, only 1 did not end in disaster. Rain is a bitch.
If you are not confident that you can spend the night under a poncho in the piss-pooring rain and be combat effective right after, I would suggest rethinking your choice.

My honest opinion, your experiences may vary :)

Ranger unit is most interesting unit for me. But if you want to enjoy it you must train very hard. must have shape like in military and lot of experience

It's an airsoft game, it won't be very hard.
Having to move your camp a few times during the event is not very hard. Being wet, hungry and maybe a little bit cold a few days isn't very hard either.
Walking a few miles a day for a couple of days isn't very hard, especially when you can, to a certain degree, decide how much weight you need to carry.
Being in the Ranger Unit might be quite a bit harder than what most other airsofters go through when playing, but it's no where near the limit of what a human body can endure, even a couch potato should be able to do it and live to tell the tale at the beer party.

All you have to do is convice yourself that it's fun.

I would like to say +1 too, but it's easy to get real unlucky real fast with sleeping out in the game area.
Mosquitoes combined with heavy rainfall (that's the biggest factor) can bring you to the point where it stops being fun, and just calling off-game and walking back to your base won't really cut it at that point :/

All the rest is just airsoft, and should just be fun. But sleeping in the woods can suck ass without the proper preparation.

So, moral of the story: raingear raingear raingear
/edit: and bugspray and mosquito netting

Thats just a matter of equipment. It isnt hard to participate in a ranger-type unit if you are a bit ourdoorsy (is that even a word?) and can walk a few klicks without dying.

you will also have to walk a few klicks as infantry and specialy the milsim infantry groups. Infantry runs alot up and down from respawn along roads. Milsim infantry walks greater distances in heavy terrrain, but normaly less combat time. I whould go so far as to say infantry is the most physical, while milsim and recon is more mental.

First day last berget respawn was 2km away from the border. That ment 4km of walking if you died. The fight for the infantry units(Red) deployed to defend the border lasted 4hours(maybe more for some).

Well formulated. Some people in alpha platoon of the Ravens had almost 80km logged on their GPS. And that wasnt a milsim-unit.

I agree with much that has been said here. Think of all the training your will get from patrolling with a 10kg backpack. Check out some of the kit you may need to carry as a ranger.
