Spare Weapon

Post by meathead » 16 Sep 2008, 07:34

Bring at least two guns and enough batteries to last three hole days. Nothing is more moral destroying then a broken gun and you are out of the play.
It is better to bring a springer as a backup then a gun that you cant relay on.

Good things to have.

See if you can have atleast one person that are good with AEG repaires.
Many of the gamers can repair and have tools for it. i also know that
airsoft Shops on place repairs AEG, but its not surtain they can do it on time.

Bring spare parts like. Piston, piston head and some internal gears.

During berget 6 i broke 2 diffrent RPKs. im glad i had my SGG552 with me. :P

Spare Weapon

Post by Blackwolf » 26 Nov 2008, 23:49

Hello

I have been to 2 berget events and always brought a toolbox and extra batteries.

Also bring some spare mags in case some brake down.

ADVISE: when you are about to go to sleep put the battery that was in the AEG charging and the spare in the AEG and next day you will have a fresh Battery

I will be there for any repair in NATO base,it takes about 30-45 minutes to put a gun running again.

But i hope that nobody in NATO will have problems.

Moiners,

@Blackwolf - hope I will not have to rely on you but I will count on you in case of Emergency.

Battery charging is an important concern. I will think about it to make it a bit easier than it was at B6.

Greetings and have fun,

Leaving your übertuned, high-fps AEG at home and opting for a relatively low fps (<400) setup can dramatically prolong battery life and decrease chance of a breakdown.

I used a 280fps M4 CQBR and a 570fps spring sniper at B6... A single 8.4v 2000mah battery lasted for the whole game (had a spare, of course).

While 280fps may sound silly low for a woodland game, 80-90% of the guys I shot called the hits without hesitation... Maybe I was lucky. :)

I'm on the same line with trasher.

I had a single G&P AN/PEQII (ok they're fairly large) battery on my 350 fps m4 and it lasted the whole game. It was plugged in trough day and night, in a cold tent. I shot over 5000 bb's during B6.

I still brought seven batteries with me and intend to do so next year as well. You've got to prepare for everything.

I recommend an extra AEG that takes the same mag as you main AEG, just because Shit happens.

I have two spare batteries in my vest for the AEG, and two batteries for my radios (have two - Group and HQ)

It boost morale and confidence if you know that you will be able to handle most problems in the field and it very practical, so for field repairs: A small Engineer kit, a leatherman with bits, bits extender, compact multimeter instrument, and asorted screws, pins, fast connectors, electric wires, ducttape, and similar for basic mechanic and electric repairs in the field. Its really handy if a teammates equipment stops working, the headset for the radio stops working, you get called to HQ to fix their coffiemaker or if you need to defuse a bomb (Berget 5).

... yes, Im ususally a ingame engineer class.

Here's one for you, Make sure your motor wires are connected and not welded (soldered). makes it way easy to replace a motor if needed.

guys,
u sound like its all spray&pray at berget events...

one aeg is enough (just do a ground check) and one 2amps battery is enough.

and i do recommend the tactic shoot-to-kill.

and yes, 280 fps are enough for berget.

and theres always an airsoftshop with parts (at least on b5).

Yep Murphy is always right!!!
Last game I used my PTW and found out it didn't take the provided BB's... took my spare AEG - an Army R85 A1... Piston broke down... Took my third AEG - a trusted CA33... barrel broke off...
I had a bad day... Couldn't use my fourth AEG, because a freind of mine was a playing with it...

Talking about Murphy... Be wise, bring your spare/
