Berget rules

Post by Me4ka » 16 Jul 2012, 09:35

...what`s happening?

Can someone explain to me:

1.What happens when someone report a player on violation and give armband number to Bat.Com and GM ?

2.What happens when a player is reported to GM by different players twice (for the whole game) for aggressive behavior and unfair game ?

What happens to these offenders ?

It depends on the violation, what action will be considered. BE-Crew can come over to have a talk with the violator to sort things out, they can give him a last warning, they can call the police and/or get the player banned.

Yess, I know generally what is the procedure, ask specifically what
happening this and last Berget year with players who are reported to the GM
(perhaps the answer will come from the Trustee/GM)

Аs еxample: use of mashinegun in a minimum distance and the use of injured players as human shields ....

Regards,
The rules don´t say anything about using a machinegun in a minimum distance. Do you know the muzzle velocity of the weapon in the case you are referring to? As long as the muzzle velocity is less than 109 m/second with 0.2 BBs you can spray as much as you like according to the rules. Not even the paragraph about CQB say anything about full auto.
Rules wrote:All indoor play (CQB) is limited to weapons with a muzzle velocity of no more than 109 m/s (357 fps). Long guns must be fired from the shoulder as far as possible. Random fire is not permitted, and ricochets do not count as hits.
It is common sense to not go full auto point blank. But you can´t expect any significant action from GM as long as the player in question is following the rules.

Personally i find other imperfections in the rules more disturbing.

The rules don´t say anything about alcohol or other intoxicants. So in other words you can use any intoxicant you like during Berget as long as you don´t break swedish law.

Ooops! My bad! The rules don´t say anything about obeying swedish law. So you can use any intoxicant and still paticipate as long as you´re not taken into custody by the police.
Anyone up for some PCP and amphetamine next time?

Not in the Rules section, but in the Info section:
We have an absolute zero tolerance policy for any form of alcohol or drugs during in-game. Any players found using either during the event will be ejected from the area without recompense.
Also, I suppose you have not seen some of the Berget Event videos which show a breath alcohol test done during the game?

I support the position of the venerable Spin T.
To avoid confusion with other examples,
my desire is to understand what actually
happens
to reported offenders?

And what happens to a player who was reported
several times in violation of the rules of the game.
I mean violation of the rules of the game, not a crime ..

Maybe it's hard to forget the wounds of UN troops
when we went to help them after an attack, but that's another topic ...

My experience is that BE does follow up on reports. Although the BE organization does not seem to be big enough to follow up on all reports.

During B10 NAF Bat. CO were contacted by crew due to inapropriate behaviour by one of our players. I had a serious talk with the player it concerned before we went to main safe where crew had a serious talk with the player concerned and also issued him a waring.

I guess that´s one way things can be handled. At least I felt it was an adequate way to handle that specific matter.

I was also contacted a few times, ordered to speak with some players.
I am surten ALL "situations" is saved in a database in BE, and those who brake big rules, will go home emediatelly. Those who make smaller, will have a chance or two...

I don´t think BE want to INFORM of every action they make to prevent rule-braking, but the commanders will be responsabbly to "deal" with both "sides" in a situation!

If not, BE will do it, and other things will be "forgotten", like better tents, delivery of tarps, foods, woods, Transport.... You see the drill!?

Let me share, my personal experience. On Berget 8, on the second day around 03.00 am I was shot with BB 0.44 in the face. Due to this, I lost two of my teeth, the nerve was exposed, imagine what a pain. The guy how shot me used 120 m/s spring , based on BE rules,

Class - Velocity - Safety distance - Rate of fire

1...................0 to 109 m/s...........1 meters.......Semi & full auto
2...............110 to 130 m/s.........10 meters.......Semi & full auto

The maximum bullet weight for class 1 - 4 is 0,30 g
The maximum bullet weight for class 5 - 8 is 0,43 g

What BE do? They came after 30 minutes, after several phone calls, do churning of all guns, nothing wrong for them explain that i have to visit the dentist office gave me printed google map of the city and left me. The problem is solved!!!!!

Thank you, to my friends around me, they find some medicine to reduce the pain, at 07.00 am brought me to the city and help me find the only dentist office in the city. Unfortunately, I was send it back and asked to come after 13.00 pm because I haven't appointment with the dentist. Do BE know that? NO

Shooting in the face should be avoided as far possible of course. Still even a cheap springer pistol could break a tooth, I have witnessed that few times. Whether the guy broke rules or not, you should either use protective mask or accept the risk.
