Saturday's final battle at The Holy Shrine. Yellow and blue have fortified the place, with two tanks, several other vehicles and infantry in the terrain.
A red walks on the road with the weapon on the back and hands in the air and no deatrag. The shooter on one of the tanks shouts "Are you dead?" and get the answer "No!", "Are you stupid?" and get the answer "no!", quick shots from the tank and the players are dead.

Getting as close too blue soldiers and tents as 2-10m. Not knowing if they dont see me or think I'm just one of their own guards.

Me and my Squadleader running into our tents defensive positions after just returning from a day with heavy rain.
I set my LMG down wearing jogging pants, white hoddie and slippers.
Squadleader with his rifle and only in his underwear + t-shirt.

Alot of random UPIR attacks led to interesting choices of gear during base attacks.

Our UPIR platoon (Tag Hangover of Bravo company) decided to early on cross the map to check out the shrine then attack the NAF base. This was before we got access to the online map so we guessed the location. About 50 m away we are discovered and heavy fighting ensues. NAF runs out like hungry hyenas in only underwear and improvised gear, some with their tacticool flashlights (mostly a good target at 50 m), I die by probably a sniper round in the face just on top of the sinuses that sends my ears ringing.

They capture two of ours and keep asking them "How did you get here? Are you Shadows?" "we just walked *points on map*" "that's impossible". That's what redfor inf lives for.

The moment when many NAF mechanized soldiers have passed our hideout in the forest and two guys come straight at us and keep talking some shit, they almost passed us also but then they stop for smoke a cigarettes or something and after like 5-10 minutes the other one saw me in the bush lying down in my ghillie suit pointing him with my rifle about 10-15 meters away from them. His face was pretty good when he realized that one squad of bush wookies are still there just looking at them totally frozen in their place. Sadly they did hostile movements and get shot very quickly after that  But I can imagine how they feel when you come to chill out in forest after 50 men just sweeped the area and then after couple minutes you find out someone still lying down in the bush and just watching you and when you get eye contact with him he give you a little smile and open fire

We/I have never seen the LARP better.

Best moment.
There are LOTS to choose from, this year.
But this one came out of almost nowhere, were exiting as hell, and turned three hardcocer recd/blue airsofters, into LARP fans.
Standing at our viehles, getting the gear ready, we werw approached by a small group of UPIR’s in civilian clothes. They were a PsyOps teamlooking for information and contacts. As usual we handed them our flyer and told them about how fantastis IIP ( International Inteligence Providers) were. This went well, but not really smelled like business. But this changed in an instant, when a quite agressive person from The Firm (thanks guys you were awsome ) came up, and demanded to have the team turned over to them. Aparrently UPIR had killed some of their employees, and they wanted revenge. In a matter of seconds the UPIR team came up with a large amount of money, and a verbal contract was made. IIP was to protect transport them back to UPIR base. At this time a large numper of The Firm employees had gathered at the road out of camp, weapons were out, and i all smelled like an explotion ready to happen. To buy a bit of time, I went to them and told them, that we would throw the UPIR scum out of camp, and asked them to let us pass, so that UPIR would not revenge it. The words I heard were reasuring, but the attitude and number of weapons, said somthing else. But on returning to my team, I saw the whole lot in gear and perfect formation. Also other Mercs had joined and supported us. We loaded the now VIP’s and headed for the exit. The Firm blocked the road massively, and it looked like an armed conflict, were seconds away. Then two from The Firm started to fight (why ?) and our VIP transport could power through.
This is wat I love about dealing with dedicated airsoft larpers. Though armed to the teeth, it does not have to end in a normal borring shoot out. In my opinion the most exiting sitoations are the ones, where it smells like an empending fight is about to erupt, but then does not, because the players can stay focused on the game.
The Firm you guys have my deepest respect !
This one came a close second. :D

Simple mission going "wrong".
Walk from naf base to civic town to secure it before CIU commanders arrival.
Almost didn't bring my AT4 since she is a heavy bitch and I hadn't seen any red cars the day before, thankfully got talked into bringing it with me.
Maybe 500'ish meters from base we run into a patrol of reds, quick fire fight and we try to outflank them on the right trough the woods.
All off the sudden red mechs drive on the road and I scramble with the AT4 and take out 4 vehicles and some reds dismounting.
We had at this point called it in to our HQ and decided to let the infantry deal with the clean up. So we push out towards the town again.
Still walking in the forest we spot reds on our right and get into another firefight. got some wounded. Turns out it is the guys we had the first firefight with and they thought we were still at the original point of contact, and they tried to outflank us, but we had inadvertently outflanked them :D

After that it was rather uneventful for the rest of the mission.

Thanks mate, we hoped you would understand this situation the right way and it seems you did :D

I think the brawl was meant to add to the confusion, and maybe make you come out of your vehicles and thus we could have the opportunity to snatch those UPIR guys and lock them up in our office.

I really liked the atmosphere and "LARP-readiness" in the Village, even if I am personally not that inclined to LARPing. But I do feel like you, situations should always have other means of closure apart from shooting it out.

EDIT: even with the need for revenge for the needless slaughter of our B-team earlier, we wanted to stay alive and get out of Nordland, so when the situation became too dangerous, we always decided to live to another day and cut our losses ;)

Many great moments:

Day 1 highlight - Escape and evade vs. NAF infantry and mechanised while in civilian gear (hawaiian shirts) for around 4 hours: hiding by the roadside as NAF vehicles, including tanks rolled by; running down the hillside to get to cover as vehicle mounted machine gun opened up on us; finally making it to the police station (and the relief of being able to sit and relax for the first time in hours); then riding in the police SUV as far as the UPIR base before being refused admittance, coming under NAF fire and bailing out to be shot and wonder a hundred meters from safety.

Day 2 highlight - Being captured by NAF counterintelligence and enjoying James Bond style banter with Scarecrow before spending several hours in the company of her team while being allowed relative freedom. Excellent fun both IC and OOC.

Day 3 highlights - Hiring IIP to get us out of the village after it became apparent that the Firm meant us harm. This is the incident described by B2fox. Building up the relationship with IIP was a game highlight, generally.

Approaching the village with FINBAT Recon (Goose-2) and adapting the plan as new intel came in from assets in the village. Goose-2 were great, and the whole thing was really exciting.

Day 4 highlight - Meeting the end my scumbag character deserved - police 40mm launcher taking me and our squad leader out as we walked back along the road and I waved because I'd forgotten UPIR had attacked the police.

Being first time in Berget...Yeah, Oma was green.

One of the black bear bikers approached Oma a few times. Last time he asked Oma for a ride.
Oma thought for a second or two. Nice young man asking..... What a compliment for a older woman. :D
So then they were on their way, Oma and two BBBs. They get as far as Holly Shrine. Place was crowded with UPIR soldiers, which stopped them.
UPIR and Black Bear Bikers had some kind of dispute. UPIR soldier shot both BBB.
Oma was panic. The only thing she could say was that she was a sivilian lived in the village. UPIR let her go.
A few days after something interesting was brought to her knowledge. Those BBB's were planning to capture Oma, take her to tha Capture point and kill her there.
So Oma was saved from terrible destiny. Thank's for UPIR soldiers.

Oma did die, in the crossfire, tried to get to the toilet.......stupid drunk.
So Oma was green....super green.

Several good moments this year, a few personal one's, like getting to like a M249 again ;) Havent carried on of those at Berget since B6.

But one of the top moments was not our finest, but the enemy team who got us. As part of a three car platoon on friday? evening. Moving from the village to Turret factory, and we get a call from the front car saying "we tok a bavs hit", next our car get hit, we dismount and head for the ditch. get shot in the head as I got into the ditch because the ambush team had us in a classic L shape. From the first car getting hit, until all cars and 90% of our force was dead took less then 30 sek. I never saw a singel enemy player. So thanks who ever you where, I think my whole team agreed that getting owned like that was totaly worth it. Makes the game great :)

This was a masterful ambush. I got shot in the back as i tried to flank in counter. Impressive stuff.

A bunch of good moments. Best one:

Walking up to the shrine with +-20 shadows, 5 VIPs and our Shadows commander. We went for the wedding from the village doc.
Halfway there we see a troop of infantry on the road. We stop to watch their armbands. Someone said, they are yellow.

Ok, time for some larping. Our CO and TF commander go up to the guys to talk with them. I walk behind them with my m249.
The conversation of the 2 Commanders goes like this when they are at about 20m away from the infantry.

- Euh..., these are not yellow armbands... These are Blue...

Our CO makes a bow and jumps left into the woods, our TF CO jumps right into the woods.
I start firing so our VIPs can retreat.
Our CO and TF CO get captured, we died.

I have all of this on film.

What follows is a pain in the ass for NAF with 2 captured shadows :D

How did it come to this that Shadows(SF) CO came to some point without area recon AND how cannot Shadows(SF) differ yellow from blue? :)

I personally liked larping in village, beer was good!
