Hello,

just a quick message to let you know that a french airsoft federation is born in order to preserve the french airsoft facing some problem with the french governement and to have one voice to protect it.

We have some problem with illegal game in some parking lot and attack or robbery with replicas or minor hanging réplicas in the street that come up in the media.

A famous french actor (Tomer Sysley who played Largo Winch) has been arrested during an illegal game in a parking lot in paris, one of his friend pointed a replica against a police officer (anti criminality brigade) who shot twice, hopefully no one was hurt ...

this is the last news about airsoft in france ....

So we created the federation

In Romania we're three years off from making a federation.. hell, we barely managed to get the paperwork rolling for the legalization of the sport. :( It should be complete soon though.

We're all working towards this goal, too bad it has to be country-by-country.

Ahem... Vardemis, you are a bit late... airsoft has had a federation in France for 5 years now, the FFJRDGN. But let's not pollute the BE forum with this discussion.

A classic sad story around the globe... put one independent, national airsoft federation in every village...

Well, better to have 5 than none I suppose.

My advice to federations around, do not try to unify details, such as game rules or fps. Leave that open and include only more important issues such as:
- fair play and gentlemanhood, friendship and fun
- organisation of airsoft teams, overview of all
- PR, good promotion of airsoft in the country

With these three basics and personal dislikings aside, each country would sufficiently have only one strong AA. My 2c.
