Question about eye protection

Post by Gilwen » 21 Dec 2006, 14:16

Hi

Would like to get a clarification about what kinds of eye protection glasses and goggles are allowed in the game.

The site only says
Eye Protection and Other PPE

Everyone on the game area must wear eye protection, including while asleep. It is essential that you wear eye protection suited for airsoft and that you have tested it by shooting it at close range before the game. We also recommend players to wear dental shields to avoid tooth injuries. Naturally this rule also applies to the LARP contingent.
Are shooting glasses without straps allowed in the game? Like Guarder C-3 glasses and Wiley-X glasses.
All the glasses are tested and can handle any velocity of airsoft pellets (some Wiley-X models are tested against .22 bullets).

I'm asking this because in Finland shooting glasses are mostly forbidden in airsoft (depending on the playing field).

The only requirement is that you have tested your eye-protection at close range. (50 cm or closer with 0.20 bb)

We usually play with Oakley MFrame with Hybrid lensis.

I have tested it many times and we didn't have any problems.
