I can't remember exactly how far north Härnösand is now, but I seem to recall that there's a point where most of the nastiness stops, gets too cold or something. Certainly when I did my military service in Luleå there were no ticks and things.

Either way, it's well worth reading up on how to treat ticks, mosquito and adder bites, just in case.
