Is it possible to arive at Harnosand by train ? I checked http://www.sj.se/ website but i found trains only to Sundsval.

for us its bus the last part of the way

I found what train is available it's just not in the dropdow box, you need to ype the name of rail station

Härnösand railway-station also lies next to the bus-station.

Can't find any trains that go to härnösand from umeå. I'm searching through www.resplus.se which has always worked fine before. Or have i missed something?

Can't find any trains from umeå to härnösand through that site either. Ah well, seems like it's going to be the buss afterall =/

Eldoriath: The train depart from Stockholm only once a day in the afternoon, and arrive in Härnösand late in the evening. This is for weekdays only, no trains to Härnösand on weekends. The trains coming from the north doesn´t stop at all in Härnösand.

However, there is a solution (for train enthusiasts ) to go by train to Sundsvall (for both north- and southward travellers), and then take the bus directly from Sundsvall railway-station to Härnösand.
I have travelled many(countless) times using "Norrlandskusten/Busslinje/bus 100" between; Skellefteå - Umeå - Härnösand - Sundsvall, and the service, and comfort is almost equal to going by train.

"Norrlandskusten/Busslinje/bus 100" is a really nice bus, and u cant miss it, its blue and stops outside the central trainstation in sundsvall,
on the bus they usally have movies on and offer u to buy snacks...

Yeah, "Norrlandskusten/bus100" is really nice, have travelled with it maany times. Lived up i älvsbyn before and had my girlfriend in umeå (well, i still do. But another now =)). Problem now that i would like to avoid is that im considered to be adult on busprices which hikes up the price quite alot. By train the travel would be 40% cheaper.

Ah well. Nothing to do really =/
