I played in these socks 30 hours nonstop, including these jumps from the boat - no strains, no blisters, no problems at all, feet were just slightly sweat (sorry for these details). Temperature +15C at the day, +5 at night. Boots - Danner Desert GTX (they started leaking, for this reason I had to buy these socks). I don't know how will it be in warm/hot weather, but in moderate weather it's OK.JKangas wrote:skinner,
How is it with the sealskinz socks, do they cause blisters? I remembered that I have a pair of them but have never used them in rigorous activities, partly because they are fairly thick and feel like they might cause hotspots in the longer run.
FYI: this is the "lab test" of the socks that I made right after the purchase http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCiZkZfBXck (it's in Russian but the picture is self-explanatory).
Ouch! What a swamp! For B9 I am thinking of taking a piece of tarp or thick plastic to make a dry floor for the Berget's tent. Plus will certainly dig a small ditch around the tent to collect water outside and not under my sleeping bag.JKangas wrote:edit: yeah, I will not leave for Sweden without a bivy bag anymore. I can take soaking wet clothes but a wet sleeping bag is really, really nasty: http://bit.ly/eZolE6
