Feedback: * Berget dollars *
We also noted the lack of money on the common soldier hard making a living when a big portion of our "customers" had empty pockets.
And we found it weird that we started without any money... but after some discussion with the crew we got 800 BD. that show to be a bit little when the drug dealers from Milos showed up and wanted 20k for a kilo of there product but a bit of Knocking settled that.

if the ingame economy doesn't work as planned, and only one faction is rich because of a headstart with 15 gold bars (worth 150.000 BD each), while one of the other factions didn't even get the initial 5.000 BD that a game master claimed the top commander got (for the entire army!! ), then I find it rather difficult to say it was not a fault of the organization, don't you think?Bersu wrote:Well, ok Im just a simple grunt and dont know the whole story, but atleast we did get some decent money from our gold bars and I was told that other factions were pretty much unable to obtain decent money (and thus unable to obtain weapons). That being said, do you think all the problems with the money was game organizational fault?

only fault i found in the ingame money was pleayers stocking money beacuse they thought there might be a simular thing to last year where to player with the most money got an AEG after the game...
that "roumor" really derstroyed the use of ingame money at berget.
if berget events states before game that money wont have an effect att de beerparty then it might acctually work.

There was A moment that I didn't allow nato players inside the casino because I was robbed by NATO forces. And didn't have any money in the casino ( wouldn't be able to pay any winnings)SenorDingDong wrote:While I agree with the ruls of Nato players not being allowed into the casino on realistic grounds, I think it would have been fun to allow them into these 'facilities' in their 'down time'.
but other from that I allowed NATO players in the casino. I guess you came in the aftermath of the robbings

Actually no, my section never got a chance to get to Bashir untill the beer party.Ripster wrote:There was A moment that I didn't allow nato players inside the casino because I was robbed by NATO forces. I hope I'm not wrong (again) about this, but I was under the impression that Nato players weren't allowed into the casino.

I agree, but didnt the other factions had similar goods like drugs and weapons? Ofcourse we were the only ones with real commodity that could be legally transformed to cash. But like circuit said, nato pretty much restricted all acces to BC, so the way I see it: If more players would have been able to access, more deals would have been made and the money would flow.whiskey wrote: if the ingame economy doesn't work as planned, and only one faction is rich because of a headstart with 15 gold bars (worth 150.000 BD each), while one of the other factions didn't even get the initial 5.000 BD that a game master claimed the top commander got (for the entire army!! ), then I find it rather difficult to say it was not a fault of the organization, don't you think?
If the case was that nobody really didnt have any money to buy goods from other factions, then ok. But atleast we had money and somebody had weapons, so we bought them. Wether that was weapons by game organization or other faction, I dont know.

Well as the casino manager I got no such info. I let everyone in who wanted to try their luck. But Nato forces wasn't allowed in to my casino after the second robbery ( no money left) and then when I took a loan from the bank and got things up again I was robbed at gun point by NATO again ( closed again. And then I let nobody in with an uncofiscated gun unless they removed the magazine. We declared the casino a weapon free zone ( exept for my security and myself) We even shot the NAF security forces wanting to check the casino for " a dangerous package" witch was accually in the casino ( without my knowlede)SenorDingDong wrote: Actually no, my section never got a chance to get to Bashir untill the beer party.

Got kinda sidetracked there (my bad) but anyhow I never "discriminated" any players who wanted to play
obs. (when I'm writing nato I mean nato players not the entire fraction)

Cool, I think it's great that there was so much going on the whole time (these robberies are news to me).
It may not have been the entire Nato force, but my section leader told me that he was told, that he was not to allow players into the casino.
Ofcourse, these rules wouldn't apply to anyone that goes rogue.

I actually watched this from the church and saw your two boys rob my two Milo's comrades and steal their heroine. Then, the police pat searched you and your two guys, followed by putting you all in jail.looky wrote:...when the drug dealers from Milos showed up and wanted 20k for a kilo of there product but a bit of Knocking settled that.
Then, the police confronted my two Milo's comrades. The police shot one guy, healed him, beat up the other guy, and everyone was thrown into jail.
It was the funniest thing I had seen all day in Bashir City. I wish I had a video camera to document it all because it was great role play, but with a fun upside!

the issue with the Berget dollars was a little odd to me,
what can a player do with 200 berget dollars ? probably nothing
the money should have been diveded to the company leaders for them to buy artillery or tanks for the use of in game issues.
